This is a story confirming that most criminals who get caught are STUPID. They increase their house insurance by $100,000, are seen by neighbors moving possessions out, confer with a technician from the gas utility about how much gas it takes to blow up a house, and board their cat for the weekend, and then the place blows up.
What is scary to me is that the woman was supposedly a RN working in a hospital. Scary that somebody SO STUPID would be qualified to work as an RN.
Doubt that the prosecutor will go for the death penalty offered as a possibility today in the presser, but they will have a long stretch in jail.
Apparently the “boyfriend” had a rap sheet as long as his arm, including drug dealing. What could possibly make these idiots think they would get away with it?
They opened the valve on the gas fireplace and used a timer on the microwave oven to trigger the explosion 6 hours later.
