Feinstein: Petraeus Cheated Because He Had 'No Entourage,' 'No Driver,' Had to Wash Own Dishes By Elizabeth Harrington November 21, 2012

(CNSNews.com) – Senate Intelligence Chairman Diane Feinstein (D-Calif.) explained on NBC's "Meet the Press" on Sunday that former CIA Director David Petraeus cheated on his wife because after retiring from the U.S. Army as a four star general he no longer had an entourage and a driver and had to wash his own dishes when he got home from work.

“Here’s a man, and you see Time Magazine, and you see the medals he has. You see the stars,” said Feinstein. “One day, he takes all of that off. He’s in a plain blue suit like this. He looks no different from you or you or you."

“Having said that,” Feinstein said, “there’s no entourage. There’s no driver. He gives an order at the CIA. There’s discussion. There’s flak. People don’t like this.

“And then he goes home to wash dishes,” she said. “It is a major adjustment. I think we need to look at this transitioning of people. I think we need to look at our tours.”

Feinstein added: “Now, this is not an excuse.”

Host David Gregory then countered: “You’re getting closer to excusing men for behaving badly.”

“I am not. I’m not excusing him,” Feinstein said. “As you look at it, it became more complicated. I think he did the right thing in resigning.”

What is it about the Bay Area that produces these walking idiots, and how do they keep getting elected?

Do you really need an answer to that question.

It almost looks like you can't call her “maam”, but could call her “madam”.

Also, I doubt very much that the director of the CIA didn't have a driver.

I'm with you on that. Makes no sense. Such a high ranking intelligence official requires a high level of security. Something is missing here.

She is a senator - royalty in the liberal world. She doesn’t wipe her own arse. If we could only get them to actually read the bills before voting.

Feinstein is senile same as McCain. Only difference is McCain does some good from time to time. Such as Benghazi and Susan Rice right now.

“...after retiring from the U.S. Army...”

I am not convinced that he wasn’t cheating BEFORE he retired.

Oh, I do have a question-—

**WHO in the hell gave the damn order to NOT rescue our men in Benghazi?**

If I used a hair brained excuse like that, I would find Mr. Happy in the freezer. AND, I’d be stuck in dishwashing hell for the rest of my miserable life.

With the demise of Hostess the Twinkie defense is gone.

Welcome to the new criminal lawyer’s dream—the dishwashing defense!

“Feinstein added: ‘Now, this is not an excuse.’..........”Host David Gregory then countered: ‘You’re getting closer to excusing men for behaving badly.’ “

We have examples there of two Liberal idiocies in one here.

We have a U.S. Senator who thinks she can - lacking any evidence or facts - play armchair psychiatrist concerning why Patreaus affair began.

Then we have a Liberal-idiot media talking head who does not challenge Feinstein’s premise, demanding she provide a knowlegde basis for it; no, he accepts the premise without question and proceeds to ask, in his own idiot way if that - the armchair psychiatrist premise; not any known reason of Patreaus - was right behavior on Patreaus part.

You can already see the eyes-glazed-over Obama voters accepting Feinstein’s premise and, without any question, thinking more of the worst regarding Patreaus.

Idiots all around.

Full disclosure: I am not trying to justify Patreaus affair or any other actions of his. But a U.S. Senator playing armchair psychiatrist over the whole issue should not be a U.S. Senator, and the fact that she is reflects even worse on those who elected her. They are bigger idiots than she is.

This woman’s blabbering encapsulates all that is wrong with this country today. It is not fixable without a complete rebuild/overhaul.

Nice piece of sophistry by Di Fi.
“I come here not to praise Caesar, but to bury him.”
She sticks up for old Dave by showing the benefits he had. With friends like her, Dave, who needs enemies?

“HAVING a 29 MOTORCYCLE ESCORT WHEN HE GOES TO JILL KELLEY”S PARTY!!!”

We do need to cut the budget of the military - get rid of all “kingly” perks we give officers. Get rid of double duty slaves - one person can be the cleaner and the cook, etc. Not , one to cook, one to clean, one to turn down his bed, one to wash clothes, etc. Ridiculous.

Ya know, I always wondered where the expression “not fit to shine somebody’s shoes” came from. They’re still literally doing that. OK, it might be more fun to ride the bikes to escort the general to his paramour’s party, than to have to shine the general’s shoes. STILL... yeah I agree some of this is pretty unseemly.

Maybe all of our flag officers should be assigned a “batman” like they have in the British armed forces. A “batman” is essentially the officers’ personal valet, usually an enlisted man.
