Mitt Romney visits Disneyland

By SARAH TULLY / The Orange County Register

Public figures usually go to Disneyland when they win.

Not Mitt Romney.

Just two weeks after losing the election, the once presidential hopeful visited the Happiest Place on Earth in Anaheim, according to reports on social media.

Suzi Brown, a Disneyland Resort spokeswoman, declined to confirm that Romney was at the parks. Disney has a policy against revealing visitors' identities.

Twitter users posted messages all day Tuesday about Romney sightings, sometimes with a political or humorous bent. One used the hashtag #TooDressedUpToHaveFun.

“Mitt Romney is at Disneyland. I'd do the same thing after I lost the election to get over my depression,” wrote TJ Gilmour, who goes by @TJGilmour on Twitter.

Romney, the Republican candidate, appeared to be with his grandchildren, possibly with a tour guide in Disney California Adventure, in pictures. One Twitter wrote that Romney waved hello. Another said he sat next to Romney.

Mitt became a failed one term governor and had to abandon his plan to run for reelection, because he was ushered out the door with 34% approval and a damaged state party, the democrats own the seat today.

Romney just doesn’t do well in politics, his 20 year career is one of failure and his legacy will be Romneycare/Obamacare which earned him a place in the history books, and “gay marriage” which he will forever be identified with.

That the Reg, of all papers, thought this was worthy of a story condemns their news judgment.

He’s nicer than nice. Maybe that’s why he lost.

I don't buy that one. He debated Obama VERY well!! As opposed to McCain's "let's play pattycake" campaign.

Indeed he was, and they are ready to have another go as evidenced by the thread accompanying an article saying that Santorum is strongly considering a run in 2016.

I voted for Newt in the primary... I would have voted for Palin had she run.

Perhaps next time, if there is a next time, you won’t be doing your level best to support a stupid phony and incompetent wannabe preacher.

BTW... I am 64 and I do not expect to see anything other than a democrat president for the rest of my lifetime. We went through the door, we as a country had our chance and it is over. I will remember her great history, you can have the rubble that the worthless electorate has made of this once great country. -spit-

Doughty, you are a model of magnaminity in our nation's tragic defeat and are praiseworthy indeed.

I too, voted for Romney, severly dislocating my tennis arm to hold my nose.
However, I feel that as a cartoon character, he now ought to stay in Disneyland.
The Mormon Milquetoast was easy meat for the Mombasa MF, as he, IMNSVHO, totally wimped out on the back nine after his impressive 1st debate performance. He kissed that part of the Kenyan anatomy he should have kicked.

When The Magic Marxist Mulatto got down in the ghetto gutter, Milquetoast Mitt inexplicably decided to take the "High Road." Wrong guess, white boy!

While I like the Latin quote, I find it impossible to believe that the mental dregs that voted for Obama has anything to do with the voice of God. That “freedom of will” thing comes to mind.

God bless Mitt Romney and his family. I wish so much he would have won. Now we are stuck with the creep and worse Obama.

Mission accomplished. He lost the election like our political elite intended all along.

It’s our loss, not his.
********
While I wish he had been elected, I can’t help but wonder about the price he and his family would have paid over the next four years dealing with Obama’s mess, a visicous liberal media attack machine, and Democrat obstructionism. The country was/is not interested in decency, honor and morality. However, that may change down the road when the economy collapses, which I think Romney would have prevented.

It’s over until the economy crashes hard. And it certainly will. There’s nothing like a good old fashioned Depression to reset people’s expectations.

Mitt did not intend to lose. He gave it his all. He busted his butt. A man does not spend six years of his life just to throw the election.

I am willing to buy the idea that McCain threw the election, however, with his crazy actions like suspending the campaign, cancelling the debate (and then agreeing to attend at the last minute), and telling crowds they had nothing to worry about if Obama became president. Those were the actions of a man who appeared to be losing in purpose.

So why did he go Pit Bull on all of the conservative candidates in the primary and then just lay down once he had the nomination?

“Well Romney being a conservative was a fantasy. Romney being a big fat liberal was true. Have fun living in your fantasy life.”

i guess your fantasy has come true. Now enjoy the reality of 4 more years of BO.

I don’t think Mitt wanted to lose but the party elites knew that he would and engineered the outcome from the beginning.
If you think for a moment, why would the Republican party agree to the debate formats that they did and why would they push such a bland candidate they knew would not excite the electorate? It was the Democrats turn to win and their “gentlemen’s agreement” was honored. Rubio will be nominated next time and he will be allowed to win.

Does anyone know how to cancel a bid on eBay? I put in a $5 bid for a “Mickey Mouse Outfit” and now it seems I’m only six minutes away from owning Obama’s entire Cabinet.
