Posted on 11/21/2012 11:33:43 AM PST by Lloyd Marcus
Returning home after two months on the road touring the country singing, speaking, writing and campaigning to defeat Obama, I felt similar to a heartbroken soldier after losing a war. I trust God, but in all candor, I felt emotionally drained.
Shopping for salad stuff in Walmart, I focused on a sign Gold Bell Peppers $1.68 each. To my surprise, I became extremely angry. As absurd as it sounds, $1.68 for one bell pepper was the straw that broke the camel's back. It epitomized my frustration and anger over the idiocy of Obama voters. Why in the world would they allow Obama to continue destroying our country?
Food and gas costs continue to sky rocket. Obama's war on domestic fuel, business and the rich kills jobs. He has tripled our national debt. And yet, according to exit polls, 52% still believe our poor economy is Bush's fault.
An idiot relative said, I voted for Obama because Romney will make us all Mormons. A yahoo said, I voted for free healthcare. News flash knucklehead, healthcare ain't free.
Thank God Christmas is over a month away. I need time for God to give me the grace to forgive my black family. I am furious and extremely disappointed in them for voting skin-color over Christian principles.
I feel like saying, Don't tell me about your commitment to Jesus Christ ever again. I don't want to hear it!
I will not apologize for my anger because mine is a righteous anger. Evil appearing to triumph should make one angry. Jesus was angry when He turned over the tables of the money changers in the temple.
The Bible says, Be angry, but sin not. Thus, I will not tell-off my family and I forgive them. But, I think it best that I not be in their presence or take their phone calls for awhile.
Like millions of Americans, my heart is broken for my country. Years of liberals indoctrinating our kids K thru college and liberal bias in the media have created a wasteland of dumb-down idiot voters. Far too many Americans are clueless to the greatness of our republic and the extraordinary cost and value of freedom which is our God given birth-right.
I am angry over the willful ignorance and racism of black America. During an interview on the Inside Detroit radio program, I informed black liberal host Mildred Gaddis that gas was $1.84 when Obama took office. Mildred rejected this fact. I begged her to research it. Mildred said you can not believe everything on the internet. Mildred also rejected the truth that Obama supports abortion and that half of black babies are aborted. Mildred rejected various easily confirmed truths about Obama's destructive leadership I am talking willful ignorance. As far as Mildred and her listeners were concerned, Obama's skin-color automatically made him worthy of their vote.
I am outraged regarding the blatant voter fraud in states where a photo ID was not required to vote.
More disappointed than angry, I was shocked to learn that Romney got 3 million less Republican votes than John McCain. After four years of Obama's tyranny, I assumed Republicans would crawl across broken glass to vote against Obama regardless of our candidate.
Since the election, I have avoided much of the media. I could not stomach the left spiking the football or weak-kneed conviction-less pandering from our side. Decisions made in panic or fear are always unwise. Better to wait until the dust clears rather than making new fear-based policy statements.
I still believe pedal to the metal Conservatism works every-time it is tried. Why? Because unlike Liberalism, Conservatism speaks to the higher nature of the human spirit and is best for all. Pure and simple.
Yes, there will always be those who want a free-ride. Jesus said the poor you will have with you always. No one is against a safety-net for those truly in need.
When the virtues of Conservatism are boldly articulated, they win in a landslide as per Ronald Reagan.
Beyond the catastrophic economic issues, Americans cried when Obama won reelection because of the death of an ideal. This evil dictator appears to have transformed America from being a shining example of the virtues of a free society into a nation of deadbeats in which class envy and government dependency rules. So yes, I am very angry.
Here is the good news. I am witnessing a new heightened resolve in patriots to fight harder than ever to turn our country around. We are in a culture war and more and more are beginning to realize it.
So I will suck up my anger, trust God, rest in His peace and continue doing my part in the battle to restore America.
Lloyd Marcus, Proud Unhyphenated American
We are with you Lloyd, the fight isn’t over.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas.
Of all the idiot statements I've heard, this one has to take the cake:
An idiot relative said, I voted for Obama because Romney will make us all Mormons.
I wonder if anyone tried to explain the the relative that Mormons are rarer in Romney's home state of Massachusetts than conservatives.
Or that booze is easier to buy in the Mormon stronghold of Utah than in the Steeler stronghold of greater Pittsbugh.
Well put, very well put.
Thanks so much for all you have done Lloyd. God Bless, and let’s keep our eyes on the future. We must continue the fight.
We will stand together Lloyd!
Bravo, well said Lloyd. You’re not alone, not by a long shot.
Could not have said it better myself. Every emotion you’ve felt since the election has been shared by me. I’ve struggled w/my Christian “brothers” who said they were voting for obama because there wasn’t any difference between the candidates. I pointed out anti-Christian legislation that obama gleefully signed into law. My Christian “brothers” just shrugged their shoulders. I shared with them that our preacher could now get arrested for teaching Roman’s chapter 1. Again they shrugged their shoulders. I just pray that the Lord doesn’t shrug his shoulders and allow our wonderful Christian nation to become a cesspool of sin. I pray He doesn’t take away his hand of protection.
Slight, nuanced correction...
3 million less republican votes WERE COUNTED for Romney than McCain...
Also, that $1.68 pepper? What’s it matter if it was $16.80? 0bama voters wouldn’t be paying for it themselves anyway.
God Bless! Happy Thanksgiving.
Would that $1.68 peppers mattered at this point.
Prepare for economic collapse, chaos, war. The time for debate and opinion is over. This is who obama is. This is what he is here to do.
I am Lloyd Marcus!
Barack isn’t solely to blame for the pricey peppers. There was a relative drought in North America this year.
Lloyd, thanks for post, right on. Enjoyed your appearance when the Tea Party came through Tyler, TX during primary season.
That was a wonderful rant. Thank you Lloyd for your tireless efforts.
And ban hot coffee and tea and cocoa....
This was silly. And if they are black, weren't they also complaining that the Mormon church did NOT want black people as members, at least under older Mormon doctrines? (Make up yer mind folks)
“An idiot relative said, I voted for Obama because Romney will make us all Mormons.
Reply to the Idiot Relative: “Yes, you have a point. Four years of the Kenyan Marxist have made most of the country a bunch of pot-smoking, income-redistributing, underachieving takers who resent success, cheap fossil fuel and all white people.”
This number has come down from the initially reported 6 or 7 million, as various states finalize their vote count.
It will probably come down some more.
I was proud to have been with you at events when you were in the Dallas area
This , from you
“Because unlike Liberalism, Conservatism speaks to the higher nature of the human spirit and is best for all. “
though causes me to ask what happened to the Higher Natures?
i sadly think those natures have sunk under the weight of all the freebies Odumbo delivered.
I wonder if there will ever be enough of us for whom personal responsibility and hard work is the higher nature.
Though don’t give up the right and we won’t either
Yeah...but it ain't the same kinda beer. Beer you get near SLC ain't $h!+.
Your post sums up so much of what I have been feeling. I did not have a pepper moment at the store, but the first few days after the election were hard. Fortunately, the assigned scripture lessons for the Sunday after the election and the hymns our pastor had chosen to go with them, made me start to put things in perspective. I have not been in too much of a mood to listen to Beck or Rush lately. Perhaps listening would help.
Thank you, Mr. Marcus.
I feel a lot of that same anger. I have experienced several of those “last straw” moments - things that would be no big deal in isolation, but which added together are just too much. (I suppose technically that if there is more than one, they can’t all be “last” straws. But I’m sure you understand my meaning. The last straw on election day. The last straw from a liberal family member. Etc.)
I see some people posting that they are done. They have fought hard and are now giving up. I respect that and understand it. But I suspect that for most, it is a temporary surrender. I think most of us need time to heal and re-energize. We need time to analyze what went wrong and we need time to find solutions.
Let’s put our anger to a positive use. Let’s use that anger as motivation. Maybe not today while we are still angry and in need of healing. But maybe tomorrow or next week.
I am an angry white woman. Seems everything makes me angry these days. Don’t think I can take four more years.
The left has successfully marched through all our institutions and are trying to destroy our Republic. Before his second term is up, the left will try and permanently consolidate power. Scary times indeed.
We all must put our trust in God and do His will. The road will not be easy, but it must be taken.
My precious brother,
I am PROUD to call you my countryman!
It seemed a kick in the head that with all the obvious displeasure in America with Barack and his works, he still squeaked by rather than getting his clock cleaned.
Thanks, Lloyd. I agree with you and am trying to take the same approach.
It boggles my mind when I wonder why black people won’t listen to you, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, etc. There are so many great black Americans in history for them to look up to and emulate.
Instead they follow Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and the like.
Why, Why, Why? These are good black people who I work with everyday. When I was growing up, (I’m 61) black kids were better behaved than whites. Their parents, and especially their grandparents demanded it.
Now, the black young kids run in gangs shooting each other, have babies with both black and white girls and don’t get married, black babies are aborted at 2 or 3 times the rate of others. It is so, so sad.
Don’t get me wrong, there are plenty of lazy goof off white kids, too. I’m just saying something has gone drastically wrong in the black communities over the last 40-50 years.
Sometimes, I wonder if it might be because the civil rights laws forced them to integrate. They had great schools in their neighborhoods and took a lot of pride in it. They were forced to attend white schools where they were not always treated well. I think they rebel against their situation and try to prove their superiority instead of equality. Kids do stuff like that.
I hope my words have not offended anyone. I’m just trying to figure out what’s wrong and why we can’t all just get along.
Is it even possible to get into the heads of these misled (if not something stronger) folks and figure out why they are falling for this balogna in such numbers? There seem to be more chips on black shoulders today than there were during an era (late Jim Crow) when there were still actual reasons to hate the system of Whitey.
The way welfare schemes bribed families into becoming dysfunctional, to in turn crank out more dysfunctional and unhealthily dependent progeny, has to bear some blame.
Bumping to the moon, Lloyd! Thank you!
Thank you for your post. We understand. Happy Thanksgiving!
Thank you, Mr. Marcus, for “speaking truth to power”. It is nice to hear someone who is articulate saying what has to be said in clear, concise language.
I loved the “dumb-down” reference to our youth. It sums up the state of dis-education today.
I know two inner city white conservative teachers (one of whom has quit in frustration), say that “these kids cannot be taught”. That there are a few who will rise above the rest ot a good level of success, but that they rest have already been damaged by the lack of a stable family/home life re single parent, no married father or biological father around; no emphasis on reading and writing; an unsafe neighborhood where gangs and drugs rule, and decent people hide in their homes or apartments in order to avoid being a crime victim; and where the schools are more interesting in being “politically correct” than in teaching the basics of education.
If you look at the educational system for us old foggies from the 50’s, you will see that there was discipline in the classes and in school in general (I polished the bench outside the principal’s office on more than one ocassion). There was Aretha Franklin’s “RESPECT” for both the administrators and teachers, as well as for each other (except the bullies).
Religious tolerance was the norm, not the exception.
We learned to read, write, speak properly, mathematics, science, foreign languages and even had physical ed (including the much feared “DODGEBALL’). Somehow we all survived and prospered.
I attended my 50th high school reunion last month and I met people whom I’ve known for over 60 years (from kindergarten on up). They are teachers, information specialists, financial advisors, clergymen, builders, etc. Some of them are Vietnam veterans.
The one common denominator that united us all after 50 years was pride in our school, our teachers, and the education we got that made it possible for us to advance in life, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background.
Today, races, religions and ethnic origins are pitted against each other by the Obama regime, as well as being forced into typical marxist/Alinskyite/Cloward-Piven “class warfare”.
We have become “Balkanized”, “dumbed-down”, and made into welfare/govt entitlement addicts (and I don’t mean those who have special financial needs through no fault of their own). Instead of drugs, Obama has made many people “government plantation addicts”, a mental disease as much as a financial one which spreads across all types of Americans.
Conservatives may be old-fashioned, but “Old Fashioned” is what made it possible for Americans to succeed. Change is based on certain basic foundations, which we conservatives call “Family, God, and Patriotism”.
Mr. Lloyd has summed up the sad state of America today, including inside his own family (you aren’t alone, brother).
“Now it the time that troubles men’s souls” (paraphrased) as once said by an early patriot. Nothing has changed because the internal and external enemies of America are still hard at work, 24/7, trying to destroy our country.
It ain’t gonna happen. As Mr. Lloyd wrote, it is time to regroup and counterattack. A basic statement of our principles is the first item of order. Then it is “Once more into the breach” (Henry Vth).
I prefer a more modern version of that quote, i.e. “Time to take names and kick ass”, or as Tobey Keith sung, “We’ll put a boot in your ass, it’s the American way.”
“These boots were made for walking... all over you”.
Start walking, America, start walking!
The idiots, self-servers and traitors may very well prevent another Republican from winning the Presidency, but there are still good battles to be fought in Congress and the statehouses.
Lloyd, you are not alone........I am as angry as you and maybe more. I was devastated that the American people were even more stupid than I thought they were and reelected a communist socialist usurper to the highest office of the land. It may have been massive fraud or massive stupidity, probably both.
But God has His hand guiding all things for His purposes, not ours. All we can do is trust in Him and endure whatever the future has in store for us. Have faith and God and He will never desert you. ......
The depravity of that is in the dichotomy...
the commie libs INTENDED the welfare system to work that way, to ensure perpetual power,
and the sheeperals go along with it because they derive their righteousness from the advocacy to “help people”, not actually doing the helping themselves, but just for wanting to.
Good article, LM.
Lloyd, you are not my brother, but since we share a LAST name we are truly cousins, and I am proud to declare our relationship.
That “media person” you mentioned is, to me, proof that LIBERALISM is in itself a religion, and those adherents cling to the party line like glue.
Be well, cousin.
I’d be honored to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with you, sir.
I lived in Reading and that city of around 100,000 people had two liquor stores for the whole city.
It was a political bribe that worked better than the Democrats who instituted it had hoped. But it also sold away what soul the Democrat party had.
The people who get “free” things from the government don’t care if prices go up. They get a cost of living adjustment.
The people who work for a living to pay for the “free” things just get a tax hike.
Prayer works better.
I am still baffled to this day to figure how much of Obama’s affairs are Obama’s own idea, and how much are of his own puppet masters. This business of reading from a teleprompter wherever he goes could have been the plot of an intriguing mid-1900s novel. Now everyone watches and says meh, whatever Washington wants is over MY head.
God bless you, Lloyd. What is the point of black churches? Since when did stealing money from the “wealthy” become a moral imperative? Everything you say is right on target. I too am infuriated with EVERYONE who calls himself a Christian, yet voted for the Punk. Actually, I’m incensed with *everyone* who did. What a bunch of stupid drones! Bob
That game can’t keep up forever. The golden goose gets sick and dies.
You wrote, "Years of liberals indoctrinating our kids K thru college and liberal bias in the media have created a wasteland of dumb-down idiot voters." Not only have generations been indoctrinated with a liberal bias, they have created a real void of History and Civics. With that control over the masses it will not be easy or perhaps even doable to change the national view to conservatism. The best we can hope for, in my opinion, is pockets of conservatives banded together for mutual safety.
God Bless you and yours and Happy Thanksgiving!
With black Obama voters it is a combination of two factors: Skin color and Democrat party ID. In fact one can be more black than Obama and they will still lose an election.
Skin color didn't help Herman Cain
Skin color didn't help Alan Keyes
Skin color didn't help Capt. Alan West
Sadly, this dynamic is in play with female voters or at least the Marxist Media tells us so.
Hilary Clinton is WORSHIPED,(barf) while Palin is vilified. I am a woman this KILLS me...
I truly hope to see some day a woman is sworn in as President of the U.S. I have a 1913 “Votes for Women” Banner worn in a parade in D.C. When Hilary Clinton was running in the primaries in 2008, I honestly remember thinking, “I am happy a woman has a real chance at the W.H., but please, dear lord, not this woman.”
Later that year, I shook hands with Sarah Palin in Oct. 2008. While it was for Vice President, my thoughts were, “This is the woman I see as a leader. Not only a leader of women, but for many Americans.” I thought for sure she would run in 2012.
Black Americans got the “Right” to vote 50 years before women did in the U.S.
If that pattern holds true, I guess I will be dead or 95 years old when a woman becomes President.
