The native Nicaraguan pleaded guilty to a 2001 drug charge in exchange for probation in Miami-Dade County when he was 19 years old. He has since earned a college degree and is holding down a job but faces deportation. Illegal sells drugs and thinks the crime is so minor of couse he should not be deported and of course he goes on to say,has since earned a college degree and is holding down, how is he holding down a job, would he not have comitted another crime in terms of document fraud ? .........

This won’t stand for the simple reason that deportation is a civil action, not a criminal punishment. That there are civil penalties in addition to criminal penalties is not a reason for criminal penalty mitigation.

For example, O.J. was acquitted of murder, but he still lost the civil case.
