Israel decided to refrain from a ground invasion of Gaza after it was warned that such a move could spell the end of the peace agreements with Egypt and Jordan, Channel 2 reported Thursday.
According to the report, Mossad Head Tamir Pardo, who went to Cairo as Israel's representative in the contacts that preceded the ceasefire, was told in messages from Cairo and from Washington that the peaceful relations between Israel, Jordan and Egypt were at risk.

I think Israel needs to elect Michael Ben Ari as PM.
Continue to pound them from the air, that’s
what it’s there for.
As long as a rocket is fired, retaliate!
Continue to target the leadership!
Sounds like Israel better not fight back... as long as it’s just Gazaans, islamonuts, iraniannutjobs, lebanuts, and egypt-shuns lobbing terrorizing and deadly rockets, Israel has peace!
So what in fact was the message to Netanyahu Hillary delivered from Obama?
I would believe some sort of a threat considering who Obama is, and what his Master’s obvious goals are for the region.
Egypt will attack Israel again one day when they think they are strong enough and particularly with Obama’s backing and us bought weaponry. Israel had better plan accordingly.
No, but a build-up and redeployment will be needed. Egypt will lose the Sinai.
Before Israel takes out the scum in Gaza, the act will be seen by Cairo going down in a massive nuclear attack that is somehow coincidentially the same time Tehran is also no more.
That peace treaty is going to go down the tubes anyway. Like everything else, the Muslims in charge in Egypt will be so offended by something that the stupid treaty gets tossed in the trash no matter what.
I'll agree that a column of Merkavas bearing down on my just erected rocket launcher would make me feel less peaceful for more generations to come.
Gaza is a densely packed city, a perfect tank trap, high casualties with infantry ..stick with the air campaign,
Remember Hue City.
Guess we know which side Obama is on. As if there was really any doubt. Fortunately The Israelis are well aware of the state of "peace" in a bad neigborhood.
Yes. I read “Phase Line Green”, and while our Marines did a yeoman job of taking it to the enemy, it sounded grueling and horrible.
The point I was making is that the Muslims are going to continue to hold the 1977 treaty over Israel’s head...until they don’t.
I’m just not worried. If attacked again, Israel will fight back - make no mistake about that. They have one of the finest militaries in the world. And, one day, all its enemies will be gathered in the valley of Mediggo, (otherwise known as the Battle of Armageddon) and these scummy Jew-hating Muslims will be wiped out. It all works out good for the Israelies.
Hey, that’s a nice dam you’ve got there. It would be a shame if anything happened to it...
