GERMANTOWN, TN - (WMC-TV) - An extreme couponer claims she was attacked at a dollar store when she said the manager refused to honor her coupons. The entire ordeal was caught on camera.
The sign at the store states coupons are accepted at Dollar Tree but a shopper is now nursing a busted lip and popped blood vessels in her eye after she says the manager refused to deal with her "wad of coupons". She said she was attacked while leaving the store.
Missy Monzo-Marte says she was shopping at the Dollar Tree in Germantown with a friend, both of whom belong to the DeSoto County Coupon Club.
Jennifer Hill says they had a similar run in with the same manager last week. Now, they want answers from corporate.

Be careful out there ping!
BUMP
reminds me of the all-you-can-eat places that kick out customers who take them up on it.
um... dollar stores take coupons??
Manufacurer coupons, probably. If corporate doesn’t like extreme couponers, they can change the policy. The manager has some anger issues.....
They usually use unkind firm words , not physically beat up the customers.
$1 says the woman knows a guy who owns a baseball bat that wouldn’t mind the risk of breaking a few bones.
I HATE getting behind someone who tries to pay with a fist full of coupons.
My poor old mom was too ashamed to even seen with a coupon so she never used them and neither do we.
They shudder when I enter the place.... Mostly because the whole building shudders... But they shudder all the same.
i was behind someone like that too..............
lol
Most stores love coupons because they get anywhere from six to twelve cents just for taking the manufacturer's coupon.
Since it is a manufacturer's coupon there is no loss only gain.
Is this manager stupid or just a moron?
Monzo-Marte at the Gonzo Mart
A fist full of coupons, fine, I can deal with that.
I was behind a woman on Wednesday at a big box grocery chain with a large cart load. It totaled close to $100.00. The checker had to tell the ditz to stop bagging as it was time to pay. The woman handed the checker the 20 page coupon book and told her to figure out which coupons applied to her purchase! The checker flipped through every page while checking the screen to see which ones applied. Finally she was done and then the ditz remembered she had a gift card which further complicated the mess.
I could feel the blood squirting out of my eyes! Argh!! I had five items and cash and now the line behind me was 15 deep.
If I ever see her ponytailed person in tight, pink workout wear in my line of sight again at that store: AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!
I know what you mean, and if thoughts could turn into actions, on a few occasions there might be a person with a “wad of coupons” shoved where the sun don’t shine!
we coupon. and we bring TONS. we have it all worked out, what coupons per transaction, we go at a quiet time of day (normally around 2 am if its a 24 hour store)
we pushed 6 carts though last time. spent 20 minutes in check out. spent 1.51 on all 6 carts.
hate us if you want. I don’t care, we eat for damn near nothing. We are considerate though. We do go when there are not people standing in lines. If someone comes up and there is a line we stop after a transaction and move to the back of the line and start over again.

I hate eliti$t $nob whiner$ impatiently tapping their fingers and sighing because they have to wait a few moments, who always have to bitch and moan about something.
Rarely use coupons here, just the pet food ones and such that come with something we already bought.
Most coupons are for processed crap or oddball stuff we never use or need.
Instore coupons are usually much better and no hassle at checkout.
Ashamed?
C’mon...
Cmon...
Some folks just need something to be ashamed of or about. My mother has crippling arthritis and walks with a walker, yet when she shops, she refuses to use an electric cart and instead, leans on a shopping cart while pushing it, says she doesn't want people to think she's lazy. She's 92 years old.
Why would you be ashamed of a coupon? A coupon is a giveaway by the product manufacturer, a sale offer. Don’t confuse it with a food stamp... which no longer exists because they have ‘debit’ cards to use now.. how nice of the govt.
in the wee hours, maybe. the person who doubles as clerk and floor sweeper might not speak english making the coupon transactions interesting.
yeah, it sounds like silly pride. do they also refuse to choose brands of items that are on promotion? also, coupons generally scan today.
