However, the fact remains the GOP has yet to win a POTUS election in almost 90 years without a Nixon or Bush on the ticket. That actually has caused me to recalibrate my compass of the American electorate.

I don’t think the defeats of Mitt Romney, John McCain, Bob Dole, Gerald Ford and Barry Goldwater have much to do with them not being named Bush or Nixon. Reagan still would have won if he chosen a better VP.

Impy, if you want to ignore unambiguous, scientific evidence, that’s up to you. I, for one, am starting my letter-writing campaign to MO Gov. Jay Nixon so as to convince him to switch to the GOP and run for VP as Jeb Bush’s runningmate. : )

If FL doesn’t have an LBJ law in the books, the GOP legislature should approve one post-haste, so Rubio can run for reelection as a Senator even if he is nominated as VP (or as president for that matter).
