Marco Rubio's got a bunch of Frum-esque "professional Republicans" talking him up (along with Jeb and George P.). These guys have actually proposed amending the Constitution to remove the Article II bar to Barky et al., in order to let Rubio and Bobby Jindal stand for the Presidency. Bad idea, but they're putting it about.

Looks like "being an American" just doesn't have any cachet any more. Cool, modern America demands Borats for its candidates, I guess.

I "guess" we're looking for a leader who hasn't forgotten what being American means - someone exceptional [one who believes the country and our constitution is also exceptional] who can explain it to those who have become soft in their conservatism.
