“The Sunday Morning Bray”, by Bray!

My first letter to the County Republicans:

Since becoming Chairman of Washington County I have realized things will never be the same. Over are the days of just sitting back and enjoying some quiet time writing or riding my bike. One of the first calls I received was from some older guy insisting I do everything I could to drop the social issues from the platform or we would never win another election. He claimed to have results showing how over half the women were not voting for us due to the Life issue and it was turning them off. Apparently every woman can’t wait to have her first abortion and is terrified those Sexist Repubs were going to take that dream from her.

Just to make it clear, I am the Chairman of the Republicans, not the Democrats and if you want a platform that includes unlimited access to killing innocents that is the Party for you. Rather than getting my beliefs from bogus polls and the concerned Establishmedia, I get my polling from the thousands of Republican doors I have knocked in the past two years. I can say without a doubt that the Republican women and men I have talked to repeatedly tell me they will not vote or put up a sign for a pro-abortion Republican. So when I hear this is damaging the Party I have to take it with a mountain of salt.

Most of those who repeat that belief have no real knowledge of it other than what they have been told. They believe we pro-lifers are a bunch of nuts who put God above Party and are right to a point. They think of us as fundamentalist who vote on a single issue without looking at the bigger picture of a changing demographics. Most of us also look at it from a logical and Constitutional aspect and will not put the moral issue aside.
Constitutionally, we all believe in the Right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. We want to protect the Right to Life of the baby as well as the mother.

If you believe the Constitution is right then it becomes a question as to when those Rights exist and the pro-abortion folks say it begins when the baby is born while we say it is when it’s formed. Anyone who has an 8th grade biology understanding knows you have to consider life to begin when the cells begin splitting. For a baby in the womb it is when the first cells divide and we say that is when life begins. Those splitting cells will not become a monkey or giraffe they become a human being. If that is true, which it is then the baby begins growing at conception which is also when it should have Constitutional Rights. If it has Constitutional Rights then it has the Right to Life and can’t be aborted.

If you look at it from a moralistic issue, you are asking the pro-lifers like myself to simply ignore it is a life and allow society to kill those lives who exist in the wombs. Again Pro-life says all life should be protected and none are considered superior than another. A baby should no more be killed inside the womb as outside it yet the pro-abortion crowd says there is a moral difference between inside the womb and outside the womb yet cannot come up with a day or time that baby is killable and when it is not. They cannot be true to themselves and say the baby should be killed up until the first breath since that is too far yet why is that any different between that and the day of conception and the splitting of the first cells? There is no such thing as a little bit dead, either you have killed it or not and no degrees of dead, either you are or you aren’t.

Once you agree that there are levels of life worthiness you are then walking down a very dangerous path. With Obama DeathCare it now becomes when people reach levels of value when do you say someone is worth saving and when are they not. Do you kill the old or infirmed and who decides whose life is important and whose is not? Since you have already said babies can be destroyed at such and such a month then it also means people stop being of worth at such and such a year or certain defects. Are they killable at ninety or eighty or sixty-five? If that sounds extreme you can use the same exact logic of killing a baby on the doctors table which many Democrats including Obama believe.

We Conservatives understand the fluidity of the argument so we simply agree with the Bible which says all life is valuable and needs to be protected by society. At a time when people in America are begging for children to adopt why are we as a Country killing over a million per year? Why are we encouraging frightened girls and women to go through with a procedure which will destroy their babies and their lives? Women after abortion are over 250% more likely to suffer from drugs, alcoholism and depression from turning their womb into a tomb. They wake up the next morning and realize they have turned their lifelong dream of having a baby into a nightmare and that is when the psychological trauma begins. We as a Party do not believe that is an option we can accept and have proudly been pro-life while fighting against the forces of death since that is what is right and true.

We welcome every different political party and group it is just that we ask those joining us to have as open a mind as they ask us to have. Like many I have gone from pro-abortion to being against it as I began to ask myself when life begins. If I go with biology then I have to say at conception and if that is the case then that is when does his Right to Life begin? If you knock the Republican doors you will find they overwhelmingly understand this concept and support it. Those who don’t continue making up statistics or poll numbers which are questionable at best to drop it and only support the easier fiscal issues. Many say that is a cheaper form of Conservatism that is easier to defend but tends to weaken their support among their ranks thus losing elections.

My job as County Chairman is to provide a structure for candidates to run and support them in an operational standpoint. I will not ask them to leave their moral convictions behind and will help them promote the pro-life stand but if a pro-abortion candidate is elected will support them over the alternative who will also be pro-abortion. I wish all of our candidates had the courage and ability to defend the pro-life position but many do not and hopefully we can help with this articulation. It is a very cut and dry issue that is easier to explain than is ever attempted but it is an issue which needs real leadership to let people know where you stand. If they want to attack it needs to have a strong counter asking why a baby does not have the right to life and just exactly when if ever do they receive that protection in America?

Pray for America
Gary Bray

Note: The above opinion is not necessarily my own, but FReeper Bray’s. If you wish to discuss this, please ping Bray.

I never watch there shows. All the political shows run by the MSM (and I include Fox) are propaganda efforts to expand big government.

These folks, and I include the interviewers, are part of the problem. They make up the permanent political class...they should be avoided and fought against at all costs.

Who cares what the permanent government class thinks?

You could take a list from 2008, match it with this one and 90% of the names would be the same. None of them have anything new to say and would never veer from their party’s talking points. Watching is a total waste of time.

Watching is a total waste of time.

I agree. That's one reason I never watch TV, period. I can get more than enough essence from these shows (and that's what these are, shows, they certainly don't qualify as news) by just reading this thread.

Thanks Alas.

GOPe are already floating trial balloons to see how receptive the sheeple are to Jeb B for 2016.

If that is the next ‘it is his turn’ guy, the GOP have already lost 2016.

HW Read My Lips and Open Checkbook George have tainted the Bush name for decades. Over 50% of the 2012 exit polls blamed GW, not Obie, for the bad economy.

The trial balloon is, however, stirring the loyalist Bushbots.

I've had it with ‘Fox News Sunday’. The liberal bastard that runs the show ( Chris Wallace ) makes me puke.

Typical show... Guests... One Marxist, one Communist, and a Rino.

CW: So Mr Rino, You being from the hard right wing of the party, what are your plans to moderate your positions now that the electorate rejected your outdated views by wide margins?

Newsie Talkshow Hosts already know what these names are going to say, so they are relatively ‘safe’ in having them on week after week after week after week.

These Sunday morning shows have a nearly constant set of viewers, which satisfied the main office need to fill the timeslots and appear to be newsie-relevant.

Morning Sir

Again congratulations. Hopefully you can continue to navigate the hordes of RINO “murderits” Believe me, I know exactly what you mean.

When confronted by some wild-eyed baby-killer, I often ask them: “Do you believe in the B...”

...and then I stop to let them finish my sentence, by saying the word “Bible”.

If they take the bait, I say; “NO, I was going to say the Biology of Human DNA.(before you so rudely interrupted me)
What, did you flunk out of that class in Junior High?

Then I have the foundation for a whole bunch of embarrassing questions, including “Then just whose DNA is it anyway...that unviable mass of tissue, that inconvenient clump of cells?...The mother’s?”

“When does that baby first obtain its INDIVIDUAL DNA identity?”

Of course if they’re too far gone, (a RAT) and you know you’re going nowhere, often the logical scientific argument is good for innocent bystanders to hear.

Either that or you can just accuse them of being a child molester and move along.

Never fear Tom, it ain’t gonna be Jeb.If it is I’m moving even further South. And I can’t go much further.
I’m hopeful we get a Tea Party candidate in 2016.
But, quite frankly I’m much more interested in 2014 right now.
I would love to see Sarah Palin do what she does best. Get candidates elected to the House and Senate in what could be a great election cycle for us in 2014.

Honestly, I cannot think of one Republican who has a chance.

To me the single biggest issue is what we gather here for every Sunday: The media.

They still have enormous power to smear, lie, hide and ignore.

We’ve seen it all throughout this campaign.

The so-called War on Women’s opening salvo was fired by none other than George Stephanopolis, one of the main hosts of these shows.

The big lie about Benghazi—that Obama DID call it terrorism (but latter admitted he really didn’t)—was none other than Candy Crowley, another Sunday show host.

So, the propaganda boils down to:

Republicans are for the Rich
-A Rich that is evil and lucky (no hard work involved here, unless you’re a movie or rock star—and they CARE!), and is taking from the PEOPLE

Republicans are RACIST
-A party of rich, evil white guys who HATE blacks, Mexicans, Orientals and Arabs

Republicans are Religious Fundamentalists
-A party of women getting raped and forced to have babies; prevented from buying birth control and forced to pray to Jesus

Republicans hate Mother Earth

Republicans love big oil buddies

Republicans love war

Goosh, I could keep this up all day. Still, all of it is lies—but we cannot overcome this level of media involvement in the POLITICAL process. Moreover, it’s moved into our schools, music, culture... I don’t have a single answer to fix it.

...which qualifies either as an all-time epic Facepalm moment or simply muttering “Same ****, different day”.

(Was I seeing things, or did the list include Bawney Frank? If so, you can add “WTF?????” to the list above....)
