Republican opposition to the possible nomination of Susan Rice to be secretary of state is showing signs of cracking.
Arizona Sen. John McCain now says he'd be willing to meet with Rice, the current U.N. ambassador, and consider her much-scrutinized explanation about how the Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, unfolded.
McCain has said GOP senators would do "whatever is necessary" to block Rice if President Barack Obama were to nominate her to replace Hillary Rodham Clinton at the State Department.
On Sunday, McCain was asked on "Fox News Sunday" if Rice could change his mind. McCain said "sure" and that he'd like to meet with her.
McCain and other Republicans have accused the White House of distorting the deadly Benghazi attack for political gain.

... and don't forget ... a medal discarding Secretary of Defense.
F John McCain. He was a hero in a past life, now he is nothing more than a drooling, doddering caricature that needs to be put out to pasture. He has fallen in love with being part of the ruling class and no longer has any moral center.
I’m just opting out. The rats are there to force their marxist agenda on us all and to stir up racial unrest for their own purposes (which is going to backfire on them, soon I hope), the pubs are there to just get along as long as they can focus on and advance their personal ambition, wealth and power. Of the two, the rats are the “true believers” and actually have more interest in molding the shape of the country, unfortunately it’s a marxist shape. Third parties are powerless and specialised in focus.
So my family and I are preparing for the day TSHTF and opting out of this illusion of the people (white conservatives, at any rate) having any influence on what’s going on and what the agenda will be. We don’t. The true believers on the left and the power players on the right are playing this game all by themselves, ever so often they let us go though the motions so we can “feel” we still have a voice and an effect.
My family will just prepare, sit tight, and continue to try to open the eyes of those aren’t completely beyond the reach of reality, and above all stick together and try to make others understand that when all the tribes are against us, even if they’re only useful idiots, we must do no less in looking after our interests tribally no matter how much we’re called racist. That’s just a weapon to scare us into backing down from doing what every other group does, with government support even (at OUR taxpayer-funded expense). We’ve got to make that weapon weak and futile, as well it should be, or we’re going to ALL be living in Detroit or South Africa, as long as we DO live.
The media is still shielding the public from the memory of Obama’s 2011 “Mission Accomplished” speech before the United Nations.
The so-called anti-war movement is silent today (because they are pro-Islamist/pro-Communist war).
War crimes were committed in the name of the United States against Momar Gaddafi and others (torture, abuse, and murder of a POW named Momar Gaddafi) with zero outcry from the media even WITH Sec. of HATE Hillary Clinton boasting “WE came, WE saw, he DIED!”.
More recently, never forget that he was the one who in '08 chastised people for calling his opponent by his middle name, who took time off campaigning to vote while his opponent went full bore 24/7 campaigning, who basically told Sarah Palin to tone down the attacks ["He's a good man who'd be fine as president"].
In short McQueeg is who we have to thank for the current occupant of the White House (now affectionately called "The White Hut") . Thanks loads Juan!!!
I don’t understand why there is any excitement over this.
The GOP is doing what it does best....going along to get along.
Nothing to see here, move along.
Who gave the order to the military to stand down and NOT implement plans to rescue our people in Benghazi on 9-11-12? When? WHY??
The qualification you need to serve in a high cabinet position in the Kenyan administration is the color of your skin. White skin tone need not apply.
I forgot that we also have a Secretary of Energy who does not drive or even own a car, but wants $10/gallon gasoline.
The GOP is under complete control. They’re the illusory opposition in an illusory two party system. This is nothing but theater.
The 0bummer administration is actually one of the whitest administrations in a couple of decades.
The only reason Clinton was appointed Sec of State was because she was popular with the leftist base and should have won the nomination, not the Kenyan. When she leaves you can bet your bottom dollar that Rice will be nominated, and if not confirmed the Kenyan will pick another unqualified black to fill the position. You can also bet your bottom dollar that if Eric Holder (also unqualified when chosen), leaves, the Kenyan will replace him with another black. You can also bet that if the worthless, totally inexperienced for the job Napolitano leaves as Sec of Homeland Security he will replace her with an unqualified black woman, probably Rice if she’s not confirmed as Sec of State. 99% of his replacements will also hail from the Chicago area. Qualification for the office is not necessary if your skin color is right or you have the right connections. The Kenyan knows he was elected not once, but twice to the highest office in the land without any semblance of qualifications for the job so he does not put any weight at all in individual competence.
And yet the 0bummer administration is actually one of the whitest administrations in a couple of decades.
When it comes to “Reaching Out to the Other Side”....no one is better than McCain. No wonder the North Vietnamese treated him better than the other POWs
We had a chance to get rid of Hanoi John in 2010....you think JD Hayworth is that bad? Thanks Sarah Palin for sandbagging Hayworth, supporting McCain, and giving us another 6 yrs w Hanoi John McCain
GOP Senators ! Remember that Joe Biden voted NO on Condi Rice. Was that racist?
I will never forgive Trent Lott for acting like he’d just burned a cross in front of the Capitol Bldg, apologising, and THEN resigning, all for the sin of telling Strom Thurmond on his 100th birthday that he’d have been a fine president-while at the very same time, Robert Byrd, former Grand Kleagle of the KKK was a “respected” member of Congress and “the grand old man” of the rat party. It’s not their side that burns me up, that’s what they do, it’s “our” side that burns me up for falling for it, almost so easily you’d think they were waiting for the chance. They NEVER DON’T back down, they never point out the hypocrisy. WHY? Like George McAllen quitting over “macaca”-really, “macaca”? The left is broadening the dictionary of “racist code words” on purpose so that the so-called “right” (the politicians) will have NOTHING left to say if they should be so bold as to oppose a POC or a female. If I were them, O’d say what I meant and let the chips fall where they may-if you’re going to be damned as a racist no matter you do, be a damn racist,
Or as the Jewish people say, if a good Jew is going to eat pork, he should eat the best until the fat glistens from his lips (or something to that effect). Go all in, if tou’re going to be accused at every turn no matter what, They’re not going to lose any significant black or Hispanic votes, they’re not going to get them anyway, they can’t even out-pander the rats anymore. SOMEone need to appeal to the large (we are STILL the majority, and our wealth and influence exceeds our numerical value anyway-just ask the British how that worked in India) white majority out there looking for someone to address OUR needs as producers and people who play by the rules, perhaps the only people who do, as laws and regulations force us to even if we weren’t pretty ethical as a whole. We must be, we are “altruisming” ourselves into suicide. No other race has EVER done anything quite lik ot.
I cannot argue with anything you say.
I have had it up to my ears with Republicans apologising, while blacks say
Wake up, stop letting these people push us around with their threats of not voting for us. They don’t vote for us anyway.
