Why can't we use executive fiat when we have the chance? [vanity]

Posted on 11/25/2012 12:03:08 PM PST by Feline_AIDS

What's to stop the next Republican president* from walking into the oval office and using executive fiat to immediately close the EPA, defund and/or cripple Obamacare, and phase out the foodstamp program, among other things? Or at least make the requirements insanely strict for foodstamps and disability to make sure it's only used by the truly indigent? Is it just that he/she would become insanely unpopular among 47% of people? Or is there some legal reason he/she couldn't? Because it seems Obama's administration has nothing stopping them from doing similar things.

*assuming he/she would be willing to do this

There will never be another Republican President because there will never be another honest feral election.

Without positive voter identification, either by photo ID or marking with indelible ink like the UN does, Democrats will bus people from one election station to the next to vote as many times as they can.

A moot question. No one should expect to see another Republican president, fraudulent voting having been honed to near perfection.

Interesting that you didn't consider the possibility of inking the fingers of the voters like the UN does like I said. Life is probably a pretty perplexing proposition for you.

If we had paper ballots, that would work

Today we have absentee voting, mail voting, eary voting for a month...

that ink needs to be pretty tough

290 votes in the house (just 50 more) and 66 votes in the Senate (just 19 more) could happen two years from now if conservatives got off their asses. At that point, vetoes can get overridden and the so called President can go to hell, assuming no feel good “across the isle” bs goes on. THIS IS CALLED A PLAN!

And, local votes are more difficult for the marxist/socialist/communist/msm cabal running this country to STEAL than NATIONAL Votes.

With Obamacare, death panels, Hobby Lobby type issues, printing money, devaluation of our money, massive unemployment, exploding debt, massive coming regulation (confiscation) and so on, I frankly don’t see how violence on a massive scale is going to be avoided if REAL CHANGE is going to happen cuz these congress critters just ain’t gonna do it. WE have control of 24 states, they have 13 and 11 are split with the 13 dictating to the 24. At some point Concord is going to happen again although this time it may be Montgomery or Beaumont or Charleston.

One thing is for sure and that is that WE need a leader. And, that LEADER damn sure is not the Republican Party. That leader (Sarah Palin?) must light a fire under the 24 states WE control and have the tenth ammendment become the battle line and hire whole divisions of “lawyers” not soldiers to carry the fight to Obama, Axelrod, Reid,Pelosi and Holder. When we lose the Supreme Court, and arguably we already have, then it is time to “just say No”. Then it’s the Cabal’s turn to make the next move (i.e. fire the first shot!)

A set of balls.

Impeach the kenyan or secession.

Unfortunately, you are correct. Americans have shown that they prefer Obama. And so they deserve him.

The Republicans have the power of the purse now. They just refuse to use it.

All they would have to do is say : No more continuing resolutions and pass the required budget bills with the appropriate levels of funding.

If you don’t want to sign this 50% reduction in the budget for the EPA Mr. President you can veto it and the EPA gets zero.

ya...clearly the choice was between Paul and Obama.....

Grow up!

The fringe stay at home, or Gary Johnson, or Ron Paul supporters are the ones who stuck America with Obama.

And the RED one is what obama deserves, a 1957 Fiat 500.

Their new model looks a lot like the old one.

Pretty to look at but woefully underpowered and wildly inefficient (an extremely slow car, bafflingly a gas guzzler), unreliable, dangerous, flimsy, and made in a foreign country.

Yep, it's an Obama-mobile.

Well, Romney didn’t work out so well for you, did he? But more to the point, even if Romney had been elected do you really believe he would have done any of these things?

Excellent double entendre? I had to look it up to be sure and couldn't find whether it was sold in U.S. Would you know if it was sold here?

Did you know the news about the Executive Fiat? Fiat owns Chrysler and that allows them to begin building the Executive anew in Michigan.

I don't know about the 500. Don't you agree that's a bit big for the thief?
