(CNSNews.com) – Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg says there will be enough women on the Supreme Court when all nine justices are female.
“So now the perception is yes women are here to stay. And when I’m sometimes asked when will there be enough [women on the Supreme Court]? And I say when there are nine, people are shocked. But there’d been nine men, and nobody’s ever raised a question about that,” she said.
Ruth and I don’t see eye to eye on much, but I believe her point is that there is no token quota that should determine how many women sit on the bench at one time.
I’d agree with her on that for various demographics.

When there were 9 men on the SCOTUS, women were explicitly excluded. Is she advocating explicitly excluding men? RBG’s idea of equality is inequality?

Saying that 9 is enough isn’t quite the same as saying no token quota should determine it. In fact, it’s the opposite. She not only has a quota, the quota is zero men. What a sexist she is.

Ain’t she cute with her coy remark? Leftists like her are a censorious and have tunnel vision. To her it’s about a POLITICAL agenda. That’s not what the Supreme Court is intended to be. It’s supposed to be a panel of Constitutional experts who don’t bring personal polical agendas to their decisions. Kagan and Sotomayer are political agenda hacks through and through and are not at all qualified to be sitting on that once prestigious panel. I’m sure there are qualified women for the Supreme Court, but the last two picks, Kagan and Sotomayer are not among them.

I’m all for equal opportunity, but I’m more for the best qualified people for the job (woman or man). Ever have to deal with a government agency? Where do they get some of these people???
Right before WWII, the US needed a major leap forward in cryptography (code breakers for people in Rio Lindo, ala Rush). The Government agencies and military couldn’t go to the American Cryptography Society, or the universities - they had to pick from the pool of people who had passed the civil service exam first. We were waaaay behind every other nation in code breaking in 1940.

It would be a hoot if somewhere buried in those 2700 pages of Obamacare there was short little paragraph in fine print about euthanizing old worn out supreme court justices, but in their haste to uphold it, they didn’t notice it.

Were I to judge female judges by the glittering jewels of colossal ignorance currently infecting the SC benches, I would subscribe to the muslim code of “women are most definitely inferior.”
A more complete set of female mental incompetence cannot be found.

Can a female justice be objective and faithful to original intent of the Constitution? Can a female justice make a ruling apart from her very personal perspective and feelings?

if it were true that “nobody’s ever raised a question about that”, then there’d still be only men.
there are now women specifically because questions were raised and replied to.

Thanks to Sandra Fluke’s arguments and presentations on why women should be allowed to force ALL TAXPAYERS to pay for their promiscuity coupled with the numerous Statements made by Elected Officials and Hollywood Ninnies regarding the criticism of Susan Rice willfully and intentionally LYING to the American People about Benghazi.
I have decided that WOMEN SHOULD NOT EVEN BE ALLOWED TO VOTE, and will not even entertain any notion that they should be TREATED EQUALLY as Men anymore.
