Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands;
thy walls are continually before me.
Isaiah 49:16
Who can comprehend this awesome wonder---that the God of all creation has a hand upon which He has written our very own name? It is beyond understanding how much You love us, Lord. Your thoughts are higher than our thoughts; Your ways higher than our ways. We bow before You in awe and amazement for there is none like You. We owe our very lives to You. Every breath we take is by Your grace. Thank You, Father, for the height, the length, the breadth, and the depth of Your love for us.
Father, just as we cannot save ourselves, neither can we save our country. Our needs are beyond the capacity of human endeavor, and we cannot find our way back without Your help. We pray for Your mercy, Lord. Save us from ourselves and restore us to the nation You want us to be.
Grant our precious military patriots the protection afforded by Your mighty angels. May they bear them up in their hands whenever they are in trouble or peril. Make them to dwell in the shadow of Your wings and help them to endure times of loneliness and misery as they serve the nation they love.
May Your mighty armies defend Israel during the turmoil taking place in the Middle East. Lord, help America to support her and to defend her in good times and in bad. We pray for the peace of Jerusalem.
Thank You, Father, that we have a High Priest in Heaven---our Savior, Jesus Christ. How blessed we are to be Your people. Though we deserve no favor, yet You crown us with loving kindness and tender mercies. Blessed are You, Lord God, our King. We pray this together in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Please join us in prayer.
Amen.
Thank you for praying, faithful friend.
My daughter and I just got home from honoring a local fallen hero in Greer, SC. The street was lined with people with American flags. As the procession passed and the motorcycle riders Patriot Guard Riders leading them, it was impossible not to cry. Sgt. Bo Hicks was killed in Afghanistan. He was only 24 and has two young daughters. So heartbreaking. I hate to make a soldier’s death political, but it occurred to me as we were standing on the sidewalk waiting that Obama is really not part of the America that shows up to welcome dead soldiers home. George Bush, yes - Obama, no.
Fallen soldier’s body returns to Upstate
Sgt. Channing Hicks, fellow soldier die in attack
Prayers for this beloved fallen hero. May Sgt. Hicks rest in peace and may his loving memory be kept by his precious daughters. It is indeed heartbreaking to think that while much of this nation is focused on getting the best deals on Black Friday, our patriots are putting their lives on the line to preserve our freedoms. We need to be in continuous, purposeful prayer for the safety of all those who serve. May God protect them and may He comfort all who mourn. Thank you for honoring this special hero and for reminding us of the individual story behind each member of our military.
Amen!
Joining in prayer for our Heroes and our beloved Nation.
