If 30 years ago you told me that one day Pravda would criticize a US president as being a communist, I’d figure someone was high on something. Perhaps I’m high right now, and this is just a very long and very bad “trip”.

30 years ago, in 1983, I remember when KAL-007 was shot down. At that time, just from craps and giggles, I asked this question. "What if in the future, the USA became the USSR and the USSR became the USA? Also, what if we, the US, became the Evil Empire?" I could hear a pin drop. I was 17 then, a junior in high school.
Russia has some ways to go but in many cases, freer than we are now. Putin, although former KGB, he is more of an authoritarian on things, but that always has been Russia. Even so, here in 2012, I have to borrow Pogo Possum's favorite quote, "I see the enemy, he is us."
Ever feel like you went to sleep on planet Earth and woke up in "Bizzaro World" where everything is backwards? Well, peeps, we are here.

Twenty years ago I didn’t believe in parallel universes and now I are in one!
