On the eve of a visit by Mexican President-elect Enrique Peña Nieto, the White House promised Monday that President Barack Obama "will be pressing for action" in Congress on comprehensive immigration reform and regards that goal as "achievable."

"There is a real opportunity here to move forward and the president is committed to that," press secretary Jay Carney told reporters at his daily briefing.

"He believes that comprehensive immigration reform is achievable ... because there has been in the past bipartisan support for immigration reform," Carney said. "And he thinks it's important not just for specific communities that would be affected by it, but for the American economy."

Trumka knows that Mexican laborers will resort to violence more quickly and with more gusto than their American countgerparts.

He will use them as shock troops against every non-unionized industry or business.

Lower wages won’t hurt Trumka a bit. He will profit from doubling the number of dues paying unionists.

I wonder the big labor goons like Trumka are privately thinking and saying. They must know that flooding the labor market with millions of Mexicans will drive down the cost of labor.

The AFL-CIO and SEIU are 100% in support of illegal alien amnesty and 100% opposed to Arizona's SB1070.

Take note of every GOP Amnesty Liberal who caves into Illegal Alien Amnesty....I’m keeping an eye on you, Rubio.....

Illegal Alien Amnesty is Anti-American Bigotry

Big Labor supports Illegal Alien Amnesty...especially unions like the SEIU....Amnesty will grow their ranks.

Google the photos of all the photo ops John McCain had when he pushed Amnesty 5 years ago....he was always surrounded by the La Raza (The Race) people and the SEIU

>”3 million republican conservatives rejected the socialist Romney”<

Socialist Romney (?), I don't think so. RINO is more accurate, just like every other Republican after Reagan.

Obama is the true Progressive / Socialist / Statist and we are now stuck with Obamacare, a future Supreme Court that would make Stalin proud, a National Debt expected to top $22 Trillion by 2016 and a declining America that will have nothing in common with the Constitutional Republic that our Founders envisioned.

But those “true blue” Conservatives saved us from Romney. Delusional doesn't even begin to cover it.

Mark Levin had it right, you Vote your Candidate in the Primary and you your Party's Candidate in the General. Too bad the Conservative Electorate, the Evangelicals and people who didn't use the brains God gave them didn't follow his advice.

I say forget about this.

The real problem is the exporting of jobs.

BRING BACK AMERICA JOBS.

Now.

Just what’s in it for the GOP? NOTHING?

They think they can get credit for this? Zilch, zero, nada!
They can’t “out Santa Clause” the Dems.

They seem so hell-bent on becoming a permanent minority party...so long as they have their little fiefdoms and petty kickbacks. The little people get screwed in the process.

Romney lost and we're beating a dead horse.

If 3 Million Conservatives stayed home, which cost us the Senate as well, we would still have been a million short of beating Obama.

Jobs aren't going to “come back”. Jobs need to be created and the only chance of that happening ended on November 6th.

Take care of those you love because we are outnumbered my FRiend. This formerly Center Right Nation just made a Left turn that a NASCAR Driver would envy.

I disagree.

But we absolutely, positively must stop exporting American jobs.

It was good for a while, but now it is time to start rebuilding America.

Time to rebuild America.

All you Americans who have made a lot of money in Asia, bring it home now.

You know it cannot continue indefinitely.

China and Asia are protectionist.

I repeat that: China and Asia are protectionist.

This is a fact.

It is time to start looking out for America, for a change.

Now.

21st. century unions are all for open-door immigration. They feel the new arrivals will be much easier to organize.

They have everything above and beyond what US citizens already have so reform would mean he’s going to fix it and send them home, right???

What the hell is wrong with the immigration laws we already have? This is the biggest pile of donkey **** I’ve ever seen. What needs to be reformed? Just because Mexico can’t stampede to the U.S. to leech off of the U.S. taxpayers we need “reform”? WTH?! The jackasses living in this country are doing way too many recreational drugs.

The GOP might want to resign, unless they’re planning to actively start promoting US jobs next time.

Right now.

That is the problem. Not immigration.

Jobs.

We can’t build a fence along the southern border... I’m told it’s too difficult and won’t work.

Never mind that we built an oil pipeline, using 1960s
technology, from the top of Alaska at the Bering Sea all the
way down to the bottom at Valdez, through some of the most
inhospitable terrain on the planet, across a couple of
mountain ranges, over a couple of major rivers and numerous
streams, and all this was done mostly in sub-freezing temps,
since Alaska’s summer is only about two months long.

But... alas, we can’t build a border fence in dry desert
scrub, where the average year round temperature is about
70 degrees and it rarely rains....

Because it’s too hard.
