There's nothing like tuning into an episode of "The View" for a little exploration of social sensitivities in the modern American culture.
In keeping with that tradition, on Black Friday, a term used to describe the Friday following Thanksgiving, which is the beginning of the traditional Christmas shopping season, the use of the word "black" to mark this occasion was a topic of discussion on "The View" for its potential "racist" implications.
Idiots..being in the black in business is a good thing. Unless you are a bunch of commie lib reds..of course.
I wonder what her IQ is. No one it’s high. Joy Behar’s remark is so utterly stupid that it leaves us speechless.
Would that be more polite?
They’re so stupid and ignorant . . . each day is a new record
Joy, you twit... would it be racist to describe a dress as a “black dress” if that was its color?
So, if a company makes money, we can’t say it is “in the black?” Must it be “Green Friday?”
That may have been a lame attempt at a joke on her part, but she’s a total maroon!
to think the term has anything whatsoever to do with race, is pretty racist
Why the Friday gotta be black?
Has Jack Black ever been a guest on her show?
So I’m guessing she doesn’t know why its called “black friday”.
Most years its the first day that retailers actually make a profit, they are in the red (or negative) up until that day.
She’s dumb, ugly, and has a rotten personality. Not much goin for her.
Well, one way to solve this “racist” issue is to get rid of the word “black” and everything associated with it.
Just when you think that the libtards cannot possibly get any more stupid, a dumb$hit like this proves you wrong.
It is an accounting term, something that brain dead liberals can’t comprehend.
Being in the black, making money.
Being in the red, losing money.
idiots prattle on while Nero fiddles
Isn’t it false advertising to call yourself “Joy,” Ms. behar?
It’s racist to be as fat as she is. Somewhere, there is an underprivileged minority kid going hungry because Joy’s fat a$$ ate the last bon bon
Behat’s. Iq must be somewhere around room temperature
Notice how she is almost groveling for Goldberg’s approval. Thats probably why she mentioned it in the first place. To show Goldberg she is a “good” honkey.
So calling Black Friday Black Friday is racist. Eating white turkey meat is racist. Peanut butter sandwiches are racist. It never ends.
How come nobody ever asks if Cracker Jacks are racist?
And there’s no cure for stupid.
you better get ready because we are going to be bombarded with Racist , Racist , Racist ,then hold on for a big surprise
I laugh almost every day these days. The name in question fits perfectly!
You’re cutting into homework time here.
Maybe she does know. Black means profit which is a dirty word in her world view (except when her pay check is at risk).
No more Shakespearean black humor?
Have you ever checked your IQ tests results?
Black eyed peas
That or she’s something of a nihilist bomb-thrower who enjoys rousing the rabble over utter stupidity.
Or, maybe she’s an idiot savant who can only do bombast.
...let alone Kurt Vonnegut?
I had an old cow at one time. She went out looking for things to frighten her.
This is the same thing, finding something to holler “racism” about. And when they cannot find anything, they make something racist up.
Many years ago they decided snow was racist, so went around withing each other a “black” Christmas.
You mean like the racist "Congressional Black Caucus?"
I predict her handlers will see her negatives sky rocketing and she will go on a tea party charm offensive.
She must have a conniption when she hears “White Christmas” on the radio.
Reminds me of the time members of the Labour Party in the UK said the word “blackboard” was “racist”.
“Black”, in due time, and if they’re allowed to get away with it, will be turned into thr “B” word, just like the “N” word or the “F” word.
“Black” will be politically and ethically/morally/legally incorrect.
To appease Behar, we’ll have to change B-Friday to “Profit” Friday. But then, “profits” are a dirty word to liberals, so, we’ll have to change that too, to perhaps, Shop-till-you-drop Friday.
We can only hope that the “R” word and the “C” word don’t become outlawed too.
Black and Tan
Black & Whites (piano keys)
Ooh! Black helicoptors
In the Black (as in “Black Friday”)
So going from the red (being neg revenue vs costs) to going in the black (making $$$) is racist?
F-ing stupid bimbo. If anything it is the opposite of racist.
OK I remember now.
`The View’ is the show that turned down Rachel Campos-Duffy, recently urging the GOP to cooperate in giving amnesty to tens of millions of criminalien migrants: `Selling the American Dream.’
Too stupid for The View, damn ....
Here we go again! No blackouts or brownouts; no black-hearted villains; no black cats bearing bad luck; no blackboards (they’ve been green for a long time); no black ice; no black-eyed peas; and heaven forbid, nothing black as the ace of spades.
Joy, you numbskull! It’s named in honor of all the black people trampled to death by discount store mobs. Don’t you know anything?
Some people are line, you know, clueless. Everyone knows this except you, Joy.
Even Elton John knows this.
“During the week of May 29th, The View had 3.22 million viewers” from ABC Ratings Report 8 Jun, 2012.
Three and a quarter million women just soaking it up, imagining they are informed and thoughtful, and voting?
From Pew, Sept 2012:
“Regular viewers of daytime talk shows are less educated than the public as a whole. Among this group, just 19% have four year degrees, 26% have attended some college and 54% have a high school diploma or less education.”
She must hate Steely Dan.
And her head would snap if she found out the meaning behind Led Zeppelin’s “Black Dog.”
Initially the charge of racism was because there was rampant racism. Now it’s simply to get votes, get attention or make money.
But this shows the idiot has never balanced a checkbook.
