When in the Course of Human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Natures God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
Those are the words of Thomas Jefferson in the Declaration of Independence 1776 and are as true today as they were 236 years ago, and perhaps far more vital to the survival of this great nation and her people today. There is no doubt or argument that America is in the most dire and urgent of situations she has ever seen. The only thing that stands between America and total collapse and invasion by foreign intervention is her people.
In a nation divided by social issues, race, faith, political ideologies and gender, by careful manipulation and design of those in power it is difficult to imagine a people united to one cause. There is however one cause, one great and irrefutable fact which binds us one to the other in America and around the globe; Freedom and Liberty. All men and women are indeed created equal; all are born with unalienable rights endowed by their creator; Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. All creatures great and small possess the same right to Freedom and Liberty; to be free of Tyranny and Despotism.
There is a great enthusiasm for the idea of secession from the out of control and unlawful federal government we find ourselves at the mercy of today and there are petitions to that end on the Whitehouse.gov site but is it really about secession? No, none truly believe the overgrown and bloated federal government will dissolve the shackles of slavery so carefully placed on us. Its not an issue of secession it is an issue of Re-possession; Re-possession of that which has been stolen from us, our Freedom and Liberty. It is not separation we must declare but our RIGHT TO EXIST AS FREE MEN AND WOMEN! THE RIGHT TO LIVE AS FREE AND SECURE IN OUR LIBERTIES AS OUR FOUNDERS INTENDED.
YOU ARE THE ANSWER! UNITE AMERICA AND SPEAK AS WE THE PEOPLE!

Yeah, very few civilians have absolutely NO concept of what people in the military go through to protect them. My son recently returned from Afghanistan and he was sent to a remote place to set up a Combat Outpost. He spent over a month and a half wearing the same clothes. 20 hour days were the norm and multiple days in a row without much more then an hour of sleep a day were common.
These kinds of hardships are happening everyday, yet most of us go along in peaceful ignorance of the sacrifices required to keep us free.
The military is now only 1% of the U.S. population -- the lowest percentage in history. Of course there is public support for slashing the 2013 military budget by half.
I am reminded of the quote from Captain Willard in the movie Apocalypse Now!:
“It’s a way we had over here for living with ourselves. We cut ‘em in half with a machine gun and give ‘em a Band-Aid. It was a lie. And the more I saw them, the more I hated lies.”
While on the surface, this sounds like the typical leftist anti-war drivel, it was later clarified by Colonel Kurtz as having entirely different meaning.
The problem is *not* the horrors of war. The problems arise from people who refuse to acknowledge that there *is* a war, and that unsympathetic brutality is the way to carry out a war.
You cannot be enemies one day, and friends the next, then enemies a day later; or even worse, try to be enemies with *some* of your enemies, and friends with *other* of your enemies, at the same time. It is madness.
While the US had lots of problems with this in Vietnam, the Israelis have taken it to a nonsensical extreme.
To clarify it for all: The Palestinians are the enemies of the Israelis. All of them. All the time. They cannot be persuaded by *any* means to *not* be the enemies of the Israelis. They indoctrinate their children to hate the Israelis.
The adult men, time and time again, have demonstrated that they are willing to use their own women and children as human shields to attack the Israelis. Yet the Israelis are so horrified at the prospect that they will abandon their weapons and run away, when overwhelmed with a crowd of Paleo women and children.
For the first time, an Israeli leader has stood up and pointed out the glaringly obvious, that the Paleos will never accept peace with Israel, so Israel must deport them to Arab lands if it ever once peace.

Israel cannot abide to be cruel, but it cannot continue to pretend there is not war between the Paleos and the Israelis. Feiglin has suggested giving $250,000(US) to every Paleo family on condition they leave and never return.
And, as he points out, many Paleo families would be glad to leave for free, if they just were given transportation.
That is, they don’t like living in Gaza either.
So what should it be? Machine guns and band-aids, or a ticket to leave and a fistful of cash.
