From the 2012 exit poll:
******************
* Obamacare. Only 44 percent of Americans said they believe the program should be expanded or left as it is. Almost a full majority 49 percent said they wanted the program fully repealed or partially repealed.
* Income tax rates. Only 13 percent of Americans said they favored raising income tax rates for all citizens. And the suggestion that those earning over $250,000 a year the benchmark the president uses to describe the so-called rich should be taxed more received the support of 47 percent of the electorate. With all the media spin, one would think that view would have enjoyed majority support. It didnt.
* When asked if taxes should be raised to help cut the budget deficit, only 33 percent of the voters agreed, with a strong majority of 63 percent saying no more taxes.
* The role of government. Asked the all-important question of whether government should do more or less in peoples lives, American voters strongly favored less government.
When respondents were asked if government should do more to solve problems, only 43 percent of voters agreed.
But 51 percent of voters agreed with the statement that government is doing too many things better left to businesses and individuals. Nothing better demonstrates that America rejects Obamas statist policies and that the country remains a center-right nation.
The reason Obama was re-elected is because the majority of Americans are idiots. Simple as that.
Another article urging Republicans to woo Hispanics and Blacks.
STUPID.
Go ahead Republicans -—kiss their ass-—see where that gets you.
That about sums it up!
It’s the trendlines, stupid. Plus, the coming amnesty.
What happened to the 70% who rejected it during the early daze of the TEA Party?
I believe we had a shot at it in ‘12 and blew it. I believe we have another shot in ‘16, but by 2020, the Latino demographic increases will guarantee there will never be another GOP prez. Amnesty will just accellerate this condition.
It was announced and accepted by all that 47% of Americans were on the dole...heck, even Romney knew it. If the number was accepted as 47% you have to know it was a lot higher than that, and with our tradition of "one man one vote" there was no way that the numbers could have come out any other way.
We are what we are.
There is no "peaceful" way other than finding a way to make the taker's votes not count that we can get our country back from the jaws of socialism.
We are now "piloted" and controlled by socialists & communists who will only take us to the scene of the crash...
That’s the problem. People are voting on likability, not the actual job the person is doing. That’s why this country is in the gutter.
Too bad both major parties are left and lefter.
No.
Americans were given a choice between a socialist and a Northeastern elite prep-school pretty-boy upper class scioin with no detectable core convictions.
The result was predictable.
Yeah. By giving Barry a second term, we were actually turning the other cheek. Half of the people in this country are either socialists or communists. That’s red I guess.
The factors of 7.9% unemployment (14.5% for blacks), record numbers of people in poverty, record numbers on food stamps and welfare, the scandal of Benghazi, and the government’s poor job of assisting Hurricane Sandy victims should’ve been more then enough to spell a rout of Obama on Election Day.
But, like moths to a light, voters were too enthralled with the idea of getting government money. Romney offered the chance of economic prosperity to a country, too many in which simply aren’t interested in anything but a taxpayer-paid life of leisure.
And, no... this is not a “red-state” or “center-right” country. Not anymore.
RE: People are voting on likability, not the actual job the person is doing.
Let’s put competence aside for the moment...
As far as likability is concerned, can someone please explain to me what makes Obama “likable”?
I mean, looking at Romney and Obama from a personal point of view, I’d say Romney looks like the more likable of the two.
And people find Old Crazy Joker Uncle Joe more likable than
Paul Ryan?
What’s this world coming to?
Yup.
When given a choice between:
“This Sucks!”
and
“Try a New Guy”
Americans chose “This Sucks!”
RE: during the early daze of the TEA Party?
As the song goes “Those were the days my friend, we thought they’d never end...”
