I don’t think most American gun owners will comply with such a blanket law they see as an affront to the Bill Of Rights. Big Ears ain’t going to change their minds either. If they ever come and attempt to take them, they will have an upheaval that will shake our Nation to the core and lead to the end of the current Administration. Deep in their hearts, Americans know right from wrong.
Wait, if a President can subvert the Constitution by way of an Executive Order what makes you think he won't do it again to fund BATF?
I would reply back then, "What obligation does any law officer, employee or even citizen then have to follow such a leader?"
I My answer: None. Zilch, Xero, Nada, Nitcht.
Moreso, anyone who follows a clearly anti-Constitutional law, directive, edict, or order are THEMSELVES equally guilty.
To paraphrase Andy Jackson, "
John Marshall Barack Obama has made his decision; now let him enforce it!"
I think single-issue organizations have their uses, but single-issue VOTERS is another issue completely.
Single-issue voters are what doom us.
Let the NRA give Harry Reid an A-rating.
If anybody votes for Reid SOLELY for that reason, then there’s the problem.
You mean like the Law Enforcement Officers of the BATF and the DEA who routinely use Unconstitutional "no-Knock" warrants to raid private property?
Do you mean the very BATF officers who will be getting funded by that same Executive order?
Do you mean these guys:
Sorry but I don't see these groups coming to the aide of John Q Public.
(BTW its Mad Dawgg, don't get me confused with the single "G" Dawg on FR.)
I hope you’re right. So far, all we do is sit on our hands and occasionally complain out loud. Myself included.
OK - how about when they give Democrat politicians a hundred thousand bucks?
Still good with that?
This could swing the country far right in the mid terms.
Let em pick a loser issue like this, OH Man!
What do you think people care about most right now?
Free handouts and jobs that help put food on the table, or morals?
I guarantee you that right now, most people couldn’t care less about morality and facts. All they care about is getting their three squares a day and if someone else has to lose their rights to do this, oh well (of course, they’ll eventually learn that when one man’s rights aren’t sacred, no ones are).
That’s the choice of the NRA board and membership.
I don’t like Harry Reid, but he’s earned his NRA endorsement. If he’s furthered the cause of Second Amendment rights, then he’s done the job they asked him to do.
Once these organizations start to morph into other, unsolicited areas, they begin to lose their power. Regardless of how people feel about the NRA, RKBA rights are on a roll at the local, state and federal levels.
You might be right, but that strong arming doesn’t happen on every single vote. On the most important ones, yes, but there are still a lot of other votes where Dems may cross the aisle and vote against their party’s legislation.
Also, there are a lot of races where the NRA endorsement wouldn’t make any difference in terms of getting a Republican elected. It’s going to be one Dem or another in those seats, so we might as well at least try to get a pro-gun Dem instead of an anti-gun Dem. If we fail, or they don’t live up to their promises, we’ve lost nothing versus the alternative.
It will be the entire Federal Law enforcement establishment that will for the command cadre of the American version of the einsatzgruppe & your local cops as the einsatzkommando troops . I think that this will come to pass within the next 4-6 years maybe sooner.
I agree with you.I am thinking sooner.
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. -- John Stuart Mill
In battle or business, whatever the game,
In law or in love, it is ever the same;
In the struggle for power, or the scramble for pelf,
Let this be your motto - Rely on yourself!
For, whether the prize be a ribbon or throne,
The victor is he who can go it alone!
-- John Godfrey Saxe
All the armies of Europe, Asia and Africa combined, with all the treasure of the earth, our own excepted, in their military chest; with a Buonaparte for a commander, could not by force, take a drink from the Ohio, or make a track on the Blue Ridge, in a trial of a thousand years. At what point then is the approach of danger to be expected? I answer, if it ever reach us, it must spring up amongst us. It cannot come from abroad. If destruction be our lot, we must ourselves be its author and finisher. As a nation of freemen, we must live through all time, or die by suicide.-- Abraham Lincoln
You can have peace. Or you can have freedom. Don't ever count on having both at once. -- Robert Heinlein (again, sorry)
Even God lends a hand to honest boldness. Menander, ~300 B.C.
A man who won't die for something is not fit to live. -- Martin Luther King Jr.
I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of the President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. -- Presidential Oath
Is it go time?
And yet gun owners are called “paranoid” for buying all the guns they can.....more like prescient.
Any dem who supports obamacare should get an F, as obamacare will put onerous burdens on gun owners in the future. Am surprised you cannot see the bleeding obvious.
there is nothing anyone can do about it. Go into a public place like a store or a church and look to your left then to your right and then look in the mirror because at least two of those people voted for this and a lot of us that felt we wouldn’t sully our hands by voting for Romney or McCain are to blame.
Elections have consequences. One half of Congress can’t do anything about it anymore, which is what those of us screaming to get rid of Obama have been saying for four years. Congress can shut off the spigot but Obama will find out ways around that too.
When they do come for your guns, don’t fight too hard, they’ll just take it out on your family.
Okey Dokey then.
