No, it’s not a “trick.” Jeb Bush’s education program when he was governor (which of course Crist tried to undo) has actually had an excellent effect on education in Florida. The teachers unions hated him, just as they hate Scott now, but both governors did and are doing really well on reforming public education in Florida (including at the college level).
BDS...it’s an ugly thing.
You know what's REALLY "ugly?" Watching imbeciles on FR use the "BDS" canard to defend the very same craven politicians who've repeatedly taken a giant s**t on us, our families and our nation.
Man, the hate for anyone named "Bush" here on FR is as bad or worse than I've heard from extremist liberals.
All a big circle, isn't it?
I understand and have sympathy for the idea of not continuing a familial "dynasty"...but that isn't what I am seeing here. All I am seeing is vitriol and hate.
Not a real healthy thing, and not something that will help the cause of conservatism.
Ronald Reagan, from all that I read and heard from him, never engaged in such tactics. He was a warrior, but a happy one--and had ANSWERS...he didn't spew hate at an opponent.
Pretty discouraging to see his happiness ignored.
Some here, it seems, want to merely rail against ANYONE. No one, it seems, is good enough. No one.
Pretty darn pathetic. And not a Reagan-like attitude. There are too few people who remember him and his approach, I suppose.
