Markets Just Slipped After Senator Reid's Comments

Sam Ro
Nov. 27, 2012, 2:29 PM

Markets have been quiet for most of the day.

But in the last few minutes, we've seen stocks lose their legs.

Bloomberg is reporting that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid said little progress has been made regarding fiscal cliff negotiations and that he was "disappointed."

If Congress is unable to make a deal, a series of tax cuts and spending programs are set to expire by the end of the year, potentially cutting 2013 GDP by as much as 5%.

So if they DO “make a deal”, this delays the economic collapse by a few months?

The Democrats hold most of the cards of “responsibility” in this game of chicken.... SENATE and PRESIDENCY ... to get this resolved!

Besides, the majority of the country put their EGGS in the Democrat Presidency basket, putting their entire FAITH and HOPE in THE ONE!

Now let him deliver!

Yeah, and the Pravda Press, ever-loyal as an arm of the Democrat Party, will report it like this:

REPUBLICANS WILDLY ACCUSE DEMOCRATS OF "OWNING FISCAL CLIFF", IGNORING BUSH'S ROLE.

When anything regarding the “Fiscal Cliff” comes up for a vote in the House or Senate, every Republican should just vote “Present.” When the Democrat plan fails, they can’t say it had “bipartisan support”, because no Republican will have voted for it. They can’t accuse the Republicans of obstructing a deal because no Republican will have voted against it. The Republicans should just get out of the way, and let the Dems own this.

"They can’t accuse the Republicans of obstructing a deal because no Republican will have voted against it."

The COMMUNIST media will say:

Republicans Refuse To Help Democrats Save The Country

Republicans Stand In The Doorway Of Reflief For Millions

GOP Stance On 'Fiscal Cliff' Issues Is Heartless

We're doomed no matter who does what.

The Communists now control everything in this country, everything.

More than likely the tax and spend communists will win this debate but we should all demand that before a single penny is raised by a tax or a single penny is reduced in any domestic spending program ALL and I do mean ALL foreign aid must be frozen at ZERO until we are no longer an in debt nation.

How many billions, millions, thousands, hundreds, tens of dollars have the rest of the world sent after the devastation of Hurricane Sandy?

Seems our paid for friends in the world are all like T-Rex with tiny arms too short to reach into their pockets to send food, clothing, generators,...

This MUST be a starting point even though the dollars are a small percentage of the problem no American should get hit while we still allow all the communists in the State Department go give our money to all the inferior countries and inferior cultures of the world.

Promised my wife that we would stop listening to talk radio, politics on TV, etc., if we lost. Still watch Fox and Friends in the morning (local news is just terrible) but that is it.

Don't really miss it. Kind of feel like they all yanked my chain - especially Rush and Hannity.

I say do nothing and the democrats are the one’s in command and let’s put the blame on them.

So let's see. When the Dem Congress replaced the GOP in Congress in 2007, unemployment was at 4.4%, but the collapse that happened a year later was Bush's fault. The fact that it was the Democrats who promoted the policies that caused the housing mess and blocked the GOP from preventing it is conveniently ignored.

Now, with the Democrats in control of the Senate and White House, if the economy collapses again it will be the GOP's fault for not taxing the rich more, never mind that their tax bracket is over twice the rate of those making the median household income, and 47% pay no taxes.

OK, I got it.
