The leader of the Ohio Senate put a stop Tuesday to a bill that would have imposed the most stringent restriction on abortions in the nation.
The chamber doesn't plan to vote on the so-called "heartbeat bill" before the end of the legislative session next month, Republican Senate President Tom Niehaus said, citing concerns the resulting law might have been found to be unconstitutional.

Sometimes I just hate the Republican Party.
That guy should be recalled/
And so the spectre of Republicans screaming and running for the hills, having been thoroughly routed by the “war on women”, continues unabated.
The party of pretended virtues always loses to the party of brazen vice.
The day will come when these murderers will be face-to-face with the Creator and giver of all life and be required to give an account.
Never be amazed at that odd specimen called “an Ohio Republican”.
Leave the GOP. Don’t vote for them. Don’t give them money. Either vote 3rd party or not at all. Ask yourself “what have they done for us?”
The “RINOs” are the true Rethugs now.

I would be willing to fight any battle that presents itself in terms of challenges to the constitutionality of this bill. Where are the adults who are willing to stand up and protect innocent life? It’s a simple concept: a heartbeat indicates life. Life is to be treasured, valued, and protected. Take a stand for life. Let God take care of the rest. He’s looking for people who will do the right thing.
The guy is a piece of dog dung.
These sorts of bills are completely immoral and utterly unconstitutional.
Equal protection for all persons is the standard, not whether or not you can detect a heartbeat, or whether you think the person can feel pain.
