STRATFORD -- A convicted thief, hired to transport a truckload of brand new Smith & Wesson handguns through the state, hijacked the load instead -- turning his Bridgeport home into a weapons superstore.

Police said one of the guns ended up in the hands of the so-called "Blackjacket Robber," Kashawn Brown, who is accused of using it in the stick-up of more than a half dozen gas stations, fast food restaurants and convenience stores in Stratford and Bridgeport.

And Bridgeport Police Capt. James Viadero said at least 80 guns are still unaccounted for.

"Are we concerned that these guns may have ended up in the hands of dangerous criminals? Absolutely," he said.

How did a convicted felon get hired for that job in the first place?

He paid his debt to society and was given a second chance.
He was turning his life around.
This was the quickest way he could start his own business.

Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch said Smith & Wesson should be cited for its lack of diligence in tracking its shipment of guns.

What a jerk.

Pace blew it. Bigtime.

Guns were stolen on Nov. 8, but the company did not report the theft until Nov. 20.

80 guns are still unaccounted for....perps are out on bail

I wonder if Perez was one of those convicted felons that are on early release. I wouldn’t be surprised.

**Bridgeport Mayor Bill Finch said Smith & Wesson should be cited for its lack of diligence in tracking its shipment of guns.

“This incident is a perfect example of why we need stronger gun laws in the United States. Loopholes need to be tightened up,” he said. “Our department is working closely with ATF and the Stratford police to locate these guns. I urge anyone who has information as to the whereabouts of the rest of these illegal guns to contact the Bridgeport or Stratford police, or the ATF, before someone gets hurt or another crime occurs.”**

What nationality is Kashawn Brown the robber who used one of the stolen guns to rob people? I’ll give you a hint, he’s not Amish.

What nationality is the truck driver who stole the weapons? Oh, he’s an illegal alien from Mexico and a convicted felon and a Union member. I am totally shocked!

Guns were also stolen on the Nov. 1-7 and 9-19 and they still haven't been reported. LOL

If law abiding citizens weren’t buying these guns, they wouldn’t be available for criminals to steal/s

“This was the quickest way he could start his own business”

Are you saying that selling stolen goods is not a legitimate business? That’s racist/s

“I urge anyone who has information as to the whereabouts of the rest of these illegal guns”

The guns are in no way “illegal” the ones posessing them are
