Sure, but he’s one politician.

He's the only politician whose name appears in the title of this thread.

I’m not going to assume a politician is going to vote pro-life just because they have an R next to their names.

Nor should you, but many if not most of them are. Unless you are likely to contribute to all pro-life candidates, you only need to worry about a couple. If you attend a fundraiser or private get-together, I'm sure they will tell you in no uncertain terms.

We need streetfighters who are not afraid to mix it up with the commies, not polite glad-handers who are afraid of offending selfish women.

They need to get elected first before they can actually do anything legislative or take on the baby-killers. Otherwise, they are just going through the motions...and possibly losing as a result.

“He’s the only politician whose name appears in the title of this thread.”

He’s not talking about his own political strategy, he’s giving advice to all the other Republican politicians out there, and I was similarly talking about politicians in general. I could care less how McCain campaigns, because I can’t vote against him.

“If you attend a fundraiser or private get-together, I’m sure they will tell you in no uncertain terms.”

If they only want to tell me that in private, then I don’t want to hear it. I really don’t want to be part of a party that has a secret agenda, telling the public one thing, but privately believing another. If you are pro-life, then campaign like you believe that your principles can win on their merits, because they are the correct ones, not like your principles are an embarrassing step-kid you hide in the closet.

“They need to get elected first before they can actually do anything legislative or take on the baby-killers.”

Sure, but if they have to compromise to get elected, and then vote against the way their constituents expected them to vote, then they will probably just lose the next election. Voters do not like politicians telling them one thing, then getting to Washington and doing another. We don’t like it when RINOs do it to us, and likewise, the rest of the country won’t like it if conservatives try to pull the same schtick.

I don’t believe in winning at all costs. I don’t believe that the ends justify the means. I don’t believe that we should adopt the tactics of the left in order to beat the left. If we can’t sell pro-life principles to the American public, then the American public be damned. (That’s not a curse I’m pronouncing on them, just an observation of their most certain fate)

abortion is why the blacks in this country have lost ground fromwhere they were culturally back in the 40s and 50s. they had solid families and worked and took pride in sustaining themselves no matter what, and still saw education as the way to a better life.

If that is true, then America fully deserves the judgement that God will heap on her...

,Whatever judgement God heaps on the US of A will be deserved, regardless of the truth or untruth of the statement, and regardless of what we as a nation do or do not.

...and whether we manage to get someone elected in the meantime is pretty irrelevant.

I differ here. I see whatever action we can take that reduces the amount of abortions performed to be relevent, even though we may meanwhile all sit and await judgement from most high.

if by Bigger Tent he means killing babies, count me out. i will no longer be a Republican! When I registered to vote you had to be 21. I felt like the Democrat party left ME, and I registered as a Republican. If the party is to be the party of Death, Killers of innocent babies, I say this party has left me.... Ron Paul told me that the Constitution promises the Right to Life, Liberty, and Pursuit... The first of these is Life.

That Marriage Amendment is One Man and One Woman, which also means No Divorce and that would be a good thing! Divorce hurts children, gay marriage doesn’t

This PRO-LIFER says McCain is against the torture of murdering terrorists, but not against the murder of INNOCENTS????? We should at all times speak up for the innocents. Read the Bible, it says in Jeremiah that God didn’t order the killing of infants, nor did it enter His mind! Something so evil it never entered God’s mind that we would do that!
