Why did Angus T. Jones turn to God? Yahoo! TV By Sarah D. Bunting | Yahoo! TV 9 hours ago
Following a recent high-profile rant by "Two and a Half Men" star Angus T. Jones that called the show "filth" and told viewers not to watch it, it's unclear what's next for the 19-year-old -- or for the show itself. Jones, who plays Jake Harper on the sitcom, also said he "doesn't want to be on" it anymore. But it seems neither the young actor nor his reps has contacted anyone on the production about quitting the show formally, and creator Chuck Lorre hasn't commented either. TMZ reports that a rehearsal is scheduled for this morning, though.
Will we see a Bible-tinged repeat of former "Men" star Charlie Sheen's extended public meltdown and break with the show? Too soon to say. But how did things reach this point in the first place?
Jones, who started acting in commercials at age 4, originally hails from Austin, TX. His parents moved the family to California when Jones was that age so that his father, Kelly, could go into business with his uncle, and in remarks Jones made last month to a Seventh-day Adventist group, he recalled his mother saying that, because they'd moved close to the industry, Jones could "go and try the acting thing." (You can hear the full audio from TheWrap.com.)

I think they are overly Biblical. They still follow Jewish dietary and Sabbath laws(but not the other laws).

“What censors? Censors? Are you serious?”
Yes, I’m serious. That show was from the 80’s, when TV was still generally wholesome.

“They still follow Jewish dietary “
They go a bit past that in that they are veggies, no meat at all. I find them to be good people, though. Had neighbors that were SDA and worked at a major hospital that is SDA. Good people and a good hospital. Their beliefs are not strange, just strict. They without question are two of the best people in that neighborhood both in who they are and how they act towards others.

Then they violate the position of the SDA.

Im SDA and we are not a cult. Never heard of this Hudson guy or of Forerunner but neither are representative of our church.
Dude.... I was raised an SDA and the things that guy is spouting wouldn't raise an eye in any of the churches I attended pretty much all over the eastern US from north to south. Granted he is on the more conservative old school theology wing of the SDAs. And we'd all downplay it distance from it whenever it got the spotlight of the outside on it....... Most of his core ideas are straight from the writings of the church's founding prophetess Ellen White and right out of her Great Controversy book.....
The Seventh Day Adventist media outlet 3ABN ( you know the one the GC President [world org] turned to in his recent battle with regional conferences over ordination to try and get his message out ) ....
Its very practical and applies biblical principles to modern-day society, Yvonne Lewis, general manager of Three Angels Broadcastings urban network, told The Daily Beast. Its cutting-edge, scripturally-based, and doctrinally sound. This defense of the self-promoting and Biblical wrong Hudson by 3ABN directly undermines the message of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Spectrum has found the following quote from the May issue of the 3ABN magazine by the same 3ABN general manager: The Lord also directed me to The Forerunner Chronicles with Christopher Hudson on YouTube. At first I was unaware of his church affiliation, but I noticed he backed everything he said from Scripture. Eventually I discovered he was a Seventh-day Adventist Christian, and his program, which receives thousands of hits on YouTube, is a favorite on Dare to Dream! 3ABN also profits by selling DVDs of Hudson's Forerunner Chronicles.

Uh dude, I was raised in the church and the beliefs and practices I grew up with are based entirely on the Bible. Because you and/or whatever religion you do or do not practice interprets the Bible differently does not make the SDA church a cult. Choose to disagree with our interpretation, fine, but labeling millions of people around the world like that is uncalled for. This Hudson guy may be known on the east coast and, unfortunately to our questionable leadership, but I’d never heard of him before nor do I agree with him. He does not represent the southern CA SDA community I grew up in and am still a part of. Dude.
