Mitt Romney: A good man. The right fight.(Look at THIS BS)!
The Washington ComPost ^ | November 28 2012 | By Stuart Stevens

Stuart Stevens was the chief strategist for the Romney presidential campaign.

Over the years, one of the more troubling characteristics of the Democratic Party and the left in general has been a shortage of loyalty and an abundance of self-loathing. It would be a shame if we Republicans took a narrow presidential loss as a signal that those are traits we should emulate.

I appreciate that Mitt Romney was never a favorite of D.C.’s green-room crowd or, frankly, of many politicians. That’s why, a year ago, so few of those people thought that he would win the Republican nomination. But that was indicative not of any failing of Romney’s but of how out of touch so many were in Washington and in the professional political class. Nobody liked Romney except voters. What began in a small field in New Hampshire grew into a national movement. It wasn’t our campaign, it was Romney. He bested the competition in debates, and though he was behind almost every candidate in the GOP primary at one time or the other, he won the nomination and came very close to winning the presidency.

He was stiff and unnatural because he was running against almost everything that he believes in.

Mitt was representing a party of people in which he despises and disagrees with most of them. The republican base is foreign to him, he dislikes them, their conservative politics, their religion, their culture and even their nation, at least as they created it.

Mitt was speaking a foreign language, and saying things that were the opposite of his personal beliefs, he could never relax and speak from the heart.

Romney ran an anti illegals, pro free market, anti Obamacare, anti tax, pro military campaign.

Election year conversions mean little.

Totally delusional.

The Democrats supported Clinton in all his scandals. They have no problem with Maxine Waters and her scandals. They have absolutely no self-loathing, and can overlook the most loathsome of activities if the candidate can win. Even losing candidates get the benefit of the doubt.

I think Romney lost because he came across as stiff and boring. He didn't motivate people to vote for him
because he was too worried about playing it safe.
That strategy got him most of the anti Obama votes but not much more.

BTTT, and ever so much politer than my remarks.
