I am glad that I only bought 3 tickets and they were quick picks. I never seem to have time to sit down and fill out numbers on a ticket or at least that is what I tell myself. I briefly thought that I should stop by the store and purchase another 2 or 3, but I am glad that I am so lazy and said, “No, let’s just get home.”

The facts is that that the odds of winning are near 175,000,000 to one, and it costs $2/chance to win a $380,000,000 pot. IF there were NO taxes to pay, and you were a single winner, you would be close to breaking even with a win. However, it is common for there to be multiple winners, and that the tax is in excess of 40% for most winners.

Much better odds to just get home.
