1. Obama is extending a common courtesy...

2. Obama will offer Romney a Cabinet job...

3. Obama will enlist Romney in the fiscal cliff debate...

4. Obama wants Romney’s advice on business issues...

5. Obama wants closure on the 2012 presidential election, or something else?....

We should always be concerned when someone is invited to a private meeting with Obama. Mysteriously, they come away from the meeting espousing the Obama agenda.

Boehner and Cantor Meet Again With Obama
.....Mr. Boehner had two previous private meetings with the president, and both of those sessions caused unrest among fellow House Republicans who worried that the speaker was going to strike a compromise that many of them would have trouble supporting.

Archbishop Dolan ‘a bit more at peace’ after meeting with President Obama
November 15, 2011
Archbishop Timothy Dolan of New York, the president of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB), met with President Barack Obama at the White House on November 8.

Archbishop Dolan said at a November 14 press conference that he left the meeting “a bit more at peace [about religious liberty] than when I entered” and that he believed the president to be “very open to the sensitivities” of Catholics about religious liberty.

Although I do beleive this is Presidential courtesy, anything Romney says will be used to leverage republicans.

This is

1) A trap for Romney. Obama can blame any failure on Romney.

2) A photo opp

And the darned fool fell for it.

Of course it’s a photo op, but I’m beginning to think something interesting is afoot.

The other day Obama signed a bill that had to do with exempting American airlines from Europe’s carbon taxes. It was a clear poke in the eye to environmentalists, who lobbied for him not to sign it.

Obama no longer needs the cash from enviros, he still has unions and gays, and he will continue to please them. Obama is most certainly an ideologue, but I don’t think he saw environmentalism as anything more than a tool to gain and maintain power. Socialists like oil, once they have power.

Could it be he is beginning to care about his legacy? Is it possible he will throw them under the bus? His history is full of examples of dispensing with those he no longer needs.

Enviros didn’t like Obama signing that bill, and they don’t like this meeting with Romney either.

We will know where environmentalism stands with Obama if he opens the Keystone pipeline to Canada.

Perhaps wishful thinking, but we’ll have to wait and see.

If I were Romney I’d have said that my schedule was full and likely to remain so

If you were Romney, you'd be President-Elect.

The simplest explanation is usually the best.

$$$$$

A sad day for an outgoing president is Jan 20 when the outgoing couple has to entertain the incoming couple to a lunch and tour of the White House.

Obama must have been dreading that day - evil white guy taking over his eminence's rightful place - so having this lunch instead is just one more version of the end zone dance.

It is an opportunity to humiliate Romney and look at his face while he is doing it.

Very playground bully behavior.

I’d give up a month’s pay to see Obummer come out of that lunch meeting with a fat, purple, swollen black eye.

Be still, my heart.

1. Obama is extending a common courtesy...

I'm pretty sure you can scratch this one from the list.

After the way Romney was treated by obama, the rats and the media, I think he should decline the meeting.

I hate that Romney is commingling with the evil occupant, but if I were Romney I’d have my middle finger pressed to the side of my head the whole time. The hell with political comity.

How can you have a cordial meeting with someone who told the whole country that his opponent gives women cancer and murders them? It sickens me that Romney has to debase himself in the name of national unity.

No republican should associate with the Evil One, and most definitely none should be a part of his cabinet.

Why is it that people think Obama is screwing up?

I think Obama’s executing the plan he had more than four years ago when he won the job.

And there is no press, and the fiscal cliff is the tax increase they were looking for, and everybody is happy about it.

The plan is for the US to leave the world stage. Obama was elected to make that happen. Obama’s going to meet his handler in Moscow pretty soon too.

We conservatives are a naive lot.
