A congressional hearing Thursday on aviation security will be missing its chief witness, who declined to testify. Transportation Security Administration chief John Pistole had been asked to appear before the Transportation and Infrastructure subcommittee on aviation on the impact of his agency's policies on passengers and the airline industry.

But Pistole said he had no plans to attend, arguing the panel has no jurisdiction over TSA matters.

I think we’ve found an agency to de-fund to close the budget gap. I imagine Mr. Pisstole would be able to find his way to Capitol Hill if that were suggested.

IF PUBs had any guts at all, they would send the Sergeant-at-Arms of the House and arrest this POS.

But that would be in the alternate universe we had.

Subpeona............

The GOP hasn’t even called Susan Rice to testify.

They just want to move on to screwing us with the Grandest Bargain of All. So what if a few Americans died. So what if the
TSA is infringing on our rights. The GOP has more important
things to do like Amnesty and the Grandest Bargain of All.

The GOP is completely leaderless.

This is a big deal. It's part of the Obama Regime's plan to ignore Congressional authority and centralize all power under the Executive Branch's appointed "Commis-czars." I think that's the definition of "dictatorship."

TSA is part of DHS, and therefore falls under a different congressional committee. Transportation Infrastructure means the funding of bridges to nowhere, etc.

People - as outrageous as some TSA behavior is, this action does not fall into that category. Please expend your energy in more fruitful ways.

The House should subpoena this arrogant twerp, and then order him to answer questions while standing inside the nudie scanner for all to see.

On the frequent flyer web site, Flyer Talk, the air travellers there refer to this dude as “Pissy.”

Sadly, my man, de-funding ain't in the cards. The House could do it by themselves, but with Boehner is in charge, we are so screwed.....

....he has given up, why?..because he "wants to cross over the isle?....

...."we are just 1/2 if 1/3 of the govt...what can we do?"....he says...

...Maybe he could just say *NO* to any more spending by the regime....so what if the R's are blamed for shutting down the govt, they are blamed for everything now, WTF would change?

Exactly!
The Democrat "mainstream" newsrooms are NEVER going to cut the Republicans any slack, EVER. Yet the quislings keep trying to gain their favor by "compromising", ie., caving. Screw it. Just stand on conservative principles and let the chips fall where they may. Then, at least you don't disgust and drive away your base. At the same time you might at least gain a little respect from the Democrat moocher base (in case you care about getting respect from the Democrat moocher base).

“TSA is part of DHS, and therefore falls under a different congressional committee.”

Doesn’t matter. The House has the right to call witnesses, especially federal employees.

WHo is surprised at this? The TSA is a fascist off shoot of the Obama fascist movement. It eventually will combine with FEMA to field a civilian force of domestic police or what we know from history as “brown shirts.”

You know that R's are screwed.

The 47+%, growing stronger by the day, are sitting there like a big pile of dog poop which the R's must step in every day.

As long as these people are there in the numbers that they appear to be...AND their votes count just as much as any of the most "productive" amongst us..anybody with an R beside their name will not have a chance of winning in a Federal election.

...you watch...in '14 ALL of the federal govt will revert back to D..and "we" will be dead for 100 years....

...it is so sad....the "old" USA, I knew her well...
