Yesterday Charles Krauthammer said that Republicans have leverage right now with the president on this fiscal cliff deal because if tax rates go up on all Americans, Obama’s second term will begin in a recession as the higher tax rates will slow growth even more, and Krauthammer contends that Obama doesn’t want that.
But Rush passionately disagrees noting that analysis disregards Obama’s entire first term. Rush believes that Obama doesn’t care about having a successful economy in his second term, that it’s all part of his push to transform this country into a welfare state because that’s what is fair in his eyes and that’s the only legacy he cares about.

And if they cave because they think it will save their political skins, they have it precisely backwards.
If they cave, they will get killed at the ballot box in two years.
In reality, walking away and washing their hands is the only rational path. if they do that then they have not caved, and they are not complicit.
I have been faxing and phoning the Speaker’s office for over a week pleading with them to not make any deals with the democrats. If they do, pander, increase taxes, they are officially done. We will lose portion of the base forever. Many of their supporters are on the verge now of leaving the party and why would they stay. They can come out with a message that they are warning the Democrats not to do this. If they, the dems follow through, it’s their responsibility. More supporters will fortify the republicans because they will see them fighting for no more redistribution of income and wealth. This is all they are doing. weeks ago, I posted this. I hope others do listen. It is been a agenda (all along) to punish the producers to further Obama’s reform of America.

I agree the Dems want the Repubs to give them a raise in taxes for a promise to cut Fed spending in the future. When has that ever worked?

The way Rush put the issue up did leave room for a last minute goal line stand. I can’t recall Rushes exact wording but he didn’t recommend actually going over the cliff. Did you notice that also?
Did any of you see Dianne Sawyer and ABC News tonight where she stated if they came to any deal to avoid fiscal cliff. Stupid broad doesn’t realize Romney has no power.
Yeah, rush is right, but the country club Republicans don’t listen to Rush or any other conservatives. They’re losers.

That’s exactly what Gingrich said yesterday. (Pity that Rush helped destroy Gingrich’s candidacy in favor of Romney, but that’s the breaks.)
Gingrich reminded the House that they actually have the MA-JO-RITY (and he pronounced it very clearly for them, in case they were holding their hands over their ears) and that they did not have to go along with Obama on anything.
The naivete of supposedly seasoned observers like Krauthammer and Larry Kudlow, et al., about Obama’s true nature never ceases to amaze. Even now they appear to be unaware that he isn’t like any other American President. Rush is one of the few people with a microphone who understands Obama perfectly.
So true. This is why the voters refer to them as weak and will not be stand up for the country to say No, to Obama.

In order to avoid the dreaded government shutdown, the republicans negotiated this very cliff that they are about to toss themselves over with that very self woven rope around their neck.
I swear, the GOP is the absolute biggest group of festering n00bs that I have ever seen in my entire life. They are not even worth discussing any more. The only worthwhile action I can see at this point is to shove their worthless carcass over the cliff they created with their own disgusting cowardice and get over with.
