Leno: 'Very Dangerous to White House If Journalists Suddenly Start Asking Real Questions'
NewsBusters ^ | November 30, 2012 | Noel Sheppard

Jay Leno continued pressuring Barack Obama Thursday night.

During his opening monologue on NBC's Tonight Show, the host said, "This is very dangerous to the White House if journalists should suddenly start asking real questions” (video follows with transcribed highlights and commentary):

“This week, CBS News became the first news organization besides Fox to ask President Obama ‘Who changed the Benghazi talking points?’” Leno teased.

“See, this is very dangerous to the White House if journalists should suddenly start asking real questions.”

Indeed it is, Jay. Indeed it is.

Just imagine how dangerous it would have been to Obama if so-called "journalists" would have asked him real questions in 2007 when he first threw his hat into the ring.

Or in 2008. Or 2009. Et cetera. Et cetera.

The general population laughs about this as if it doesn’t matter. Yet by the time middle aged people are ready to retire or are in retirement, the country is going to be defaulting on Social Security, unable to pay Medicare and much, much poorer. All because of policies Obama either put in place or accelerated.

Leno has been pushing the envelope on his Obama “jokes” for the last several months now.

He seems to be bucking the Hollywood GroupThink.

How long until the boycotts begin?

I think Leno and several other “ultra rich” really thought Romney was going to win so they remained quiet and thought they would be fine with no tax increases but could pretend to be liberals then attack Romney for the next four years. Backfired I guess - now they are stuck with this corrupt administration and are going to pay through the nose.

Who woke him up?

Jay still kissed O’s butt on the Tonight Show.

A pang of conscience now is not enough.

Humor is useful in pointing out truths. But most of us can only wish that there were something actually funny about the way the media protects the anti-American Marxist in the White House. The words that come to mind are not ordinarily associated with humor.

I’m surprised the audience didn’t boo him off the stage, in Looneyville out there on the Left Coast....

Leno, you were not brave enough to slam Obama the last four years.

What I want to know is when are all the Hollywood celebs who held massive fundraisers for the admitted foreign born unconstitutionally elected Kenyan going to hold fundraisers for the millions more who will be out of work in the next 4 years? But there’s probably as much chance of that happening as them holding a telethon for the victims of the hurricane in New York and New Jersey like they did for Haiti and New Orleans. Sorry people, Bush is not in office and they can’t use this tragedy to bash him. No telethon for you.

Yes, yours is the post I was looking for. Quite right.

In an age where Leno, Letterman, and the rest of the late night crowd are where people get their news, this ‘sect’ kept their yaps shut when it came to Obama, who the man was, and what he was up to.

Now, even before Obama’s second term, but after the election has guaranteed him one, Leno has a tinge of conscience?

Jay, too little, and possible too late for the nation.

Leno likes to pass himself off as a regular guy doing things in his spare time the middle-class guy would like to do. Too bad he left out the part where a middle-class guy would love to bitch slap him until he came to his senses on the issue of our national security, both external and INTERNAL.

Jay, you remained silent on your watch, as the enemy within gained control. And that may be your one lasting legacy, when no laughs are heard any longer.

Wasn’t Leno one of the “comics” who said, “there’s nothing funny about Obama”, “I can’t find anything to pick on him for”.

You got that right. Leno is a phony. Whenever I see him I miss Johnny Carson. Remember how Carson always promoted the careers of up and coming comics (including Jay Leno) by having them perform on the Tonight Show. Leno never has another comic on the show. It is all about Leno.

Next time he has David Gregory on the show he should ask him why they don’t ask serious questions about serious issue to this administration including the Preezy himself.

This is where elections in Europe have been for decades.

The #1 overriding issue to voters is “How do I maintain or increase my social benefits?”. Little else matters.

Oh, he was all nice to Obama in the beginning.

Could it be he sees him as a dictator and he is getting scared. Leno is in the thick of the Hollywood know. If he could only tell all that he knows.

A day late and a dollar short there, Jay. But I’m sure you already know that.
