Be sure to give the muzzie’s first chance so they can return to their countries and work on their plans to destroy us. (sarc)

Sounds like the IT industry in Boston where I’m working. Maybe it’s everywhere now.

The IT community is small here - I’d be a riot if we had worked together before. I dont talk about politics at work. I spent 5 yrs at a Big Bank - the only American in the group. 10 Indians, 1 Russian. They kept me to understand the specs, written in English. What a nightmare that was!

The chance of this passing the Senate?

The chance the GOP would try to pass this stuff while they control the government??

Just had a thought... Make it a requirement for all immigrants (legal immigrants) to do service to the US when they first arrive - such as serve in the military, or some other such function.

I wonder how many people lining up for a diversity green card might change their mind if they discover they have to “earn” their way into the country...

“I spent 5 yrs at a Big Bank - the only American in the group. 10 Indians, 1 Russian.”

That sounded like one of my first jobs in junior college for an equity firm before I jumped to university. The strange part was the Indians wrote impeccable English memos and manuals but when it comes to verbal conversations, it was like I was on another planet and needed a Star Trek translator. Good chaps though..they really love strip clubs on payday.

A good start. The Republicans have to make it clear to everyone that they are not anti-immigration; they are pro-immigration of smart people. Let the Democrats be the supporters of immigrating dumbasses.

The stupid party doesn't know that American universities have become leftist indoctrination centers. The more time spent in them, the more leftist young pliable minds become.

While this is true, there are circumstances that happily reverse this poisonous tendency in this case. These are not undergraduates studying from textbooks. These are mostly doctoral students in the sciences or performance arts. They not only get no general ed indoctrination (they only take courses in their specialty, and these are entirely subordinate to their research or performance), they experience the difference that a mostly honest, mostly free, mostly economically free society makes. Further, successful scientists or performers are often very creative and entrepreneurial. You have to run a lab, or continually market your talent.

I know hundreds of them, and typically, they love America. Many want to become Americans, and for the right reasons.

the diversity program was created to prevent the us from being overwhelmed by the ethnic group de jour.

primarily to help european candidates who are swamped out by other groups.

This is just a visa grab. More cheep indian tech visas when there is no reason to increase those visas.

This just a way to avoid hiring more expensive u.s. workers.

read the fine print.

This is to use these visas to hire workers from OUTSIDE the USA rather than the unemployed IN the USA.

IOW importing cheep labor.

Yes BUT:

This disregards our jobs are being exported.

Sure encourage people here to study, but KEEP JOBS HERE also.

That is what is killing us. Companies are exporting jobs.

what would a state do if voters held a referendum shutting down a state university (or two)?

Just give the university two years to shut down (or go private)
