My morbid curiosity ‘forced’ me to look at the article (to see what these two ‘history making winners look like) and it states that they live in NJ where such a union is illegal and the Military does NOT give them permission to ‘marry’ and find that the one is a graduate of the FCWOAB at West Point.
As someone else has said, “America has looked EVIL in the face and embraced it”.

I wish this would just “fade away”. I cannot even conceive how our famous military leaders of the past would have reacted to this news were they alive. I am thinking specifically of MacArthur, Patton, Pershing, Lee, Jackson and JEB Stewart amongst others.

How can a non-religious “marriage” be conducted in a Chapel which is a religious building - this building is used to conduct worship and other Biblically recognized ceremonies, one of which is not the joining together of a same-sex couple in marriage which is only defined in the Bible as that between a man and a woman. This is the misuse of the Chapel notwithstanding its government ownership.

Maybe we ought to hold different things in respect; I’d be really upset if they did this in a Catholic Church, but the fact that their doing it in a (deliberately) secular atmosphere makes it irrelevant. The state has thrown off it’s sheeps’ clothing and revealed itself as a wolf.

If you have been inside this wonderful chapel, it is so impressive, as is West Point, that it defies description. The whole campus, especially this building, embodies virtue and morality more than anything. You get the impression West Point is a religious shrine. And this chapel is the greatest focus.
For these two lesbians and their misguided family and friends (and the officiating pastor) to do this is inflammatory and needs to be protested.
Shame on these heathens and shame on the officer corps of the USA.
