Are Republicans Already Blowing the Next Election?
The New Republic ^ | December 3, 2012 | John B. Judis

Posted on 12/03/2012 4:56:26 AM PST by teflon9

In the beginning, [Club for Growth] targeted liberal Republicans ..., but it now extends to politicians like Lugar, Capito, Saxby Chambliss and even ... Speaker Boehner, who [normally] would be considered conservative. The Club and its allies see themselves as “insurgents” against a Republican “establishment” ... Republicans, Ramesh Ponnuru wrote in National Review, have to [be] “the party of middle-class economic interests.” “It won’t kill the country if we raise taxes on millionaires a little bit,”... Bill Kristol opined.

But the Club and its network blame the Republicans’ and Romney’s defeat on their not being conservative enough. “The first lesson” of Romney’s defeat, Judson Phillips of Tea Party Nation wrote, “is no more moderate Republican candidates.” ... Ignoring Mourdock’s defeat in Indiana, [Rep. Chris] Chocola cites ...victories of ...Cruz in Texas and ...Flake in Arizona as evidence that when Republicans take Club positions rather than “electable” moderates, [they'll] win.

If [they're] active for 2014 and 2016 ... [they'll] almost certainly make it more difficult for the Republicans to retake the Senate and [White house]. The Club and Tea Party groups successfully backed ... Sharron Angle in the 2010 Republican Senate primary against an “establishment” conservative who might have beaten ...Reid. This year, they [bet] on Mourdock in Indiana. And if the Club's opposition to Capito is any indication,[they'll] do similar damage to the Republican cause in 2014.

West Virginia ... has gone Republican in the last four presidential elections, because, ... voters there see the national Democrats as hostile to coal and guns. But pro-gun, pro-coal Democratic politicians ... continue to hold most of the state offices and both Senate seats ... West Virginia’s white working class voters, ... still see the Democrats as the party of the New Deal safety net and spending on roads and bridges and schools.

If elections were untrustworthy this election, imagine the fraud generated in 2 to 4 years. The Dems are becoming very brazen about it.

Seeing how it’s all over the media that it’s going to be the Republicans fault if we go over the cliff, I say give the POS what he wants and make him own the consequences. When things start getting so bad that he can’t cover it any more, people will start getting angry and there will be no one to blame but obama. He won. Give him a chance to implement more failed policies so we can throw it in their faces when it all comes crashing down.

How does anyone figure that Boehner is conservative?

“We have to side with either Romney or Angle? that is the debate?? If so we are screwed.”

Blame the GOP Establishment for foisting upon us candidates “who can appeal to moderates” such as Romney, Dole, McCain, Specter, Scott Brown, Olympia Snowe (to name a few) and sandbagging genuine conservatives such as Sarah, Sharon Angle, Christine O’Donnell, and Todd Akin.

The GOP Establishment (pols, lobbyists, campaign consultants, pundits) would rather have President Obama in office and Washington under control of Democrats that risk letting genuine conservatives take over their power base.

It is time for a new party - a genuine, conservative party.

Someone prominent needs to make a first step now.

This has failed.

The GOP needs to go away. And we need a real party, which is not going to export American jobs.

Now.

I know we are on side, but somehow Murdock is a grand failure, but no one talks about Connie Mack, Tommy Thompson, and George Allen who all lost easy races.

Incorrect

Mack, Thompson, and Allen lost in swing states, Mourdock lost in a red state. Furthermore, Mourdock lost by a bigger percentage margin than either Thompson or Allen. I will concede that Mack got obliterated.

The Republican Party will not win another national election. With touch screen voting machines spreading an election is simply a ratification of what the supervisors of the machines have determined.

If the elections were honest even then it is not likely that republicans can win. Bush 2 was the last Republican who could win a national election. He was a Real Republican like all the other bobdoles but showed an actual desire to be elected, unlike the others. The last real determined Conservative candidate was Reagan. No Republican to date is in line to accede to the bobdole nomination and no Conservative is even remotely in contention. In the Republican Party a candidate has to be in line for 2-3 election cycles to get the nomination. Without anyone in the pipeline the nomination will go to a second tier bobdole who will then lose, probably pretty badly. Conservatives call the bobdoles and the whole power structure of the Republican Party RINOs but it is the Conservatives who are not truly Republicans. Reagan was a Conservative. Eisenhower was a conservative, more or less. Before Ike there was Coolidge and there was Harding and Taft. All the rest and all the failed candidates save Goldwater, were Republicans. That is the Republican Party.

The GOP is increasingly a PROGRESSIVE party, not a conservative party. It is the American Fabian Society to the Democrats' Leninists. That will not likely change. Conservatives are by their nature mostly averse to running for office. People who strive for political office are already oriented toward Government as the mechanism for getting things done and solving problems.

“It is time for a complete NEW party. . . . . . . . . .”

It does seem that the GOP is showing a few symptoms of Whig-itis. But more importantly, we have what is a de facto ONE party system. This party, call it “Demopublican” or “Republicrat”, whatever, has 2 wings, Pubbie and ‘Rat. They differ on what Ralph Nader cleverly calls “gonadal politics” (e.g. abortion, homosexual rights), but save for a few outliers on either side, agree pretty much on the major stuff. Politics on the 50-yard line is pretty stultifying. This party has a monopoly on the system that would make the robber barons of old jealous. Real new parties with new, fresh ideas don’t stand a chance because the “demopublicans” have the election laws in all 50 states rigged their way. That plus a ghastly winner-take-all electoral college (it should be proprtionalized!!) creates a system that strangles third parties in their cribs.

But just what is a RINO? The GOP has no manifesto that is cast in stone saying “This is what a Republican must believe, all else is heresy.” Those people we call RINOs now would have been called rock-ribbed republicans 30 years ago. A big problem (a cancer really) is the capture of much of the party and its leadership by evangelical protestantism, and it’s followers who vote disproportionately in the primaries—and, sadly, seem to make up a great deal of the Tea Party base. How else do you explain religious mystics and just plain wackadoos who make amazing statements on rape for example (or in the case of Chrstine O’Donnell, witchcraft!) defeating solid “establishment” candidates who would defeat democrats for sure in any general election. Even intelligent republicans like Marco Rubio are afraid of offending these white-picket-fence jihadis (darn it, the earth is between 4-5 billion years old, so just say it!).

If you are for more deficit spending, more government control, and in "playing nice" with the Socialists in the DNC?

You aren't "rock ribbed" anything...

Playing nice with Socialists(thugs) will get you a broken nose, a black eye, and a split lip. Our party fails, because the D.C. Republicans are cowards.

Will there even be an election four years from now??

We can not wait for 2014 and 2016 to regroup and figure out new strategies. By then it will be too late. The Marxist/Muslim usurper will have completed his planned distruction of America. That's what people fail to understand.

We must act NOW.

Start with the election. If we let the Rats get away with this massive voter fraud, we're no better than a bananna republic.

We must keep digging and pounding him every day, in every way we can- phony birth certificate, Benghazi, Fast and Furious, his hidden life, records....

Can't you just imagine this was the scene with Obama and his Commie staff after stealing the election through voter fraud- while Conservatives blame Romney, argue, point fingers, blather on about who to run in four years, 'starting a new party', and try to figure out how to suck up to minorities the 'next time'?

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Map from Barack Obama Voter Fraud 2012

What most refuse to acknowledge is that it was unlikely that ANYBODY could have beaten the voter fraud planned and perpetrated by the Obama machine. They seem to prefer pointing fingers, blaming Romney and blathering on about who to run in 2016 and how to suck up to the minorities.

>Polls indicated that Romney was going to win the election.

>The economy is close to Great Depression era conditions, and unemployment is almost as high as when Obama entered office.

>Economic conditions became so dire after Obama took office it prompted the rise of an entire new movement, the Tea Party.

>Presidents rarely win reelection when the economy is in the tank.

>Mitt knew it too, when he was met by several thousand in that parking garage cheering him when he arrived unannounced at that airport, and he put his hand over his heart and said, 'This is how you know you've won'.

So how did Romney lose a race that numerous reputable polls and pundits predicted would be an easy win, based on historical patterns?

Massive voter fraud.

That and no other reason

These elections are NOT certified yet. The only way to get this investigated, much less recounted or overturned, is through the Secretary of State of each of the five key states: Florida, Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. EVEN IF YOU ARE IN ANOTHER STATE you can help. But it won’t do any good to dilute our effort to challenge California or Michigan or other states. Until a major group gets involved to do more, here is the plan: Contact the Secretary of State of the state in question. See contact information below...

Democrats like Sheila Jackson Lee don’t outsmart Republicans. They exist in gerrymandered districts protected by liberal media mouthbreathers.

Harry Reid spun “taxer” conspiracy theories against Mitt Romney and he was forced to show his “papers please”. Ask the same of Mr. Transparency and you’ll be called a racist and conspiracy nut.

Stalinsts lie. Always.

I think we’re pretty much done with elections at this point.

On Rush’s show this afternoon he’s going on and on about how even “Obama Voters” don’t want ObamaCare...don’t want more taxes..don’t want the liberal agenda. He’s got 3-4 polls -even from illinois...supporting this. What he hasn’t yet done is drawn the obvious conclusion. When he does..he’ll be off the air in a New York Minute.

Fact is...IMHO this election was goung to be 60/40 R/D or 55/45R/D......and was stolen by the bankers....

We the People no longer own the electoral process.

Even Obama looked suprised...and certainly Mitt was.
