You got it, Happy!!
Be Ever Vigilant!!
Soon many patriots will be called upon by the very God they pray to to take up the cause of liberty.
May God hold each of them in his heart.
Thank you for using the expression “fail safe” in the proper manner—rather than to mean “It won’t fail.”
Now, if we can just get the word out that “begs the question” does NOT mean “suggests this question...”
Too bad that NFA of 1936 and later amendments have largely gutted the 2A for this purpose.
This annoyingly common delusion is correctible by viewing an original copy of the Bill of Rights. What we now call ‘the 2nd’ was actually proposed by Congress as its 4th, and the ‘1st’ was proposed third. The ‘proposed 1st,’ regulating the size of the House, is pending but remains 27 states short of ratification. Yet we’re actually in compliance with it. The ‘proposed 2nd’ was ratified 203 years latter as ‘the 27th.’ Imparting special importance to the Founders for ‘the 1st’ and ‘the 2nd’ due to their modern placement is historical bunk, unworthy of the many otherwise intelligent Freepers, Rush Limbaugh, and others who frequently claim this. The true importance to the Founders, of what they numbered 4th, was profound and sufficient. Invoking the kind of emotional nonsense its opponents substitute for reason degrades us. Be better than them!
The Constitution sets LAW that cannot be exceeded. Do what you like, if the LAW allows it.
The Bill of Rights — all ten of ‘em — were adopted to NAIL DOWN certain rights (but not all of them, as per the Ninth) that were NEVER to be violated. Lordy, how far we’ve sunk. Does anyone believe the Fourth Amendment still applies at airports?
But the fundamental truth remains ... WE are the guarantors of the freedoms listed in the Bill of Rights. Those are OUR rights. The first three words of the Constitution are WE THE PEOPLE. If the government dares to mess with those rights, in any way, then we are FULLY JUSTIFIED in defending them, in any way that serves our purpose.
After all the “named” rebellions and insurrections in the first half of our history, isn’t it odd that we haven’t had one for a very long time? We just need enough people in one place with one purpose to have another. Is it GO time?
