State Department Spent 4.5 Million for Embassy Art, Had No Money for Benghazi Security
FRONTPAGEMAG ^ | December 2, 2012 | Daniel Greenfield

Remember Benghazi only happened because the State Department had no money for security. And the military had no money for planes. And Obama had no money for his campaign and had to rush to Vegas to fundraise with Beyonce.

Things that the State Department did have money for? Mosque renovations, promoting environmental awareness in Baghdad, and 4.5 million for Art in Embassies.

Sickening.

And no one in the press says a word.

It’s way past time to acknowledge that Obama’s getting a free pass on matters over which a White president (and especially a White Republican president) would be crucified.

That’s buying of art is likely how they get money out of the government to their supporters.

I am sure “60 Minutes” will do an in-depth report on it.

Please add me to your list. What is going on cannot be ignored by people of honor and decency.

I’m having a rough time trying to be serene as well. I do think there is a time when you have to fight even if you can’t win. Have to die fighting rather than accept the unthinkable. I will never accept sharia. They’ll have to behead me first.

I am a big fan of the Arts in Embassies program. It is a form of power projection through the display of American culture. Sort of a modern-day Great White Fleet, if you will.

Certainly if the funds were part of a zero-sum game, then, yes, there should be no Art in Embassies and there should be more security. But that argument is a bit of a fallacy.

Fancy way of saying “spreading it around” or a kinder, gentler way of saying they were gunrunning and financing the MB’s community service.

Don’t forget the promoting of gay pride parades all over the world. Probably costs a pretty penny as well.

Remember Benghazi only happened because the State Department had no money for security

Blah blah blah.........remember that Benghazi was neither an Embassy nor Consulate. It was a CIA operation and not under State Department jurisdiction.

“What is going on cannot be ignored by people of honor and decency.”

That’s what we thought when we started the Fast and Furious Gunwalker ping list. A whole lotta noise and not much else for the past two years. For those to whom justice is long overdue, may they rot in eternal hell.

Had justice been done when it should have been, it is very probable that Benghazi would never have happened.

Same players, different day.

That is only partially true. Chris Stevens’ security was the state department’s responsibility. And he was using that house at that compound as an extension of the state department’s official business. They were absolutely responsible for his safety and that of the American civilians who were there with him...on their orders.

That is very true, but then realize you are talking to the CHOIR. Those in charge have no honor or decency and it will be ignored.

I'm not listening to FOX news any longer, or any other news, so I don't know what is being said about all this today. I get my daily news from FR now. I just sense that it is all being quietly laid to rest, hope I'm wrong.
