U.S. Economic Confidence in November Best in Four Years [Whistle Past Graveyard]
Gallup.com ^ | 12/4/12 | Gallup

Posted on 12/04/2012 11:15:59 AM PST by SoFloFreeper

Americans' economic confidence was better in November than in any month since Gallup began tracking confidence daily in January 2008. The -13 Economic Confidence Index score surpasses the previous bests of -17 from October and May of this year. The index, which began at -32 in January 2008 as the recession was taking hold, had been -20 or lower until May.

I remain convinced that the majority of Americans (fiscal cliff notwithstanding) have no idea that their taxes are going up. They simply will wake up one morning and say, wtf? (If they are even that intelligent--and don't blame it on the employer being "greedy," or whatnot).

The CommieZombies are convinced that Barry Benghazi will be able to provide them with fishes and loaves of bread no matter what happens. These jackasses are about to get a wake up call they aren’t going to believe.

For an even BIGGER laugh, check out WHO thinks that the economy is getting better...the biggest margins? Wait for it......wait....wait......if you guess "Democrats" and "blacks", well, hell, you're right!

By the way, the black unemployment rate went UP last month....but hey, why let the FACTS get in the way, right, folks???

When a Dictator controls the media, he also controls the polls.

We need to look no further for the explanation of the November 6th election. People bought into the, “Things are getting better” meme.

It’s the least worst.

Well, suppose that Barack Obama really did lay a smile spell upon 47% of America. Wouldn’t that tend to perk things up?

Well, I guess everything is fine now.

Some stupid-ass poll said so.

I’m sure Boner and BO have seen this one and are going to use it as justification for raising taxes. Truth be told, they probably put the numbers together during a golf outing.

LOL - you're right. For them "economic confidence" means "more free stuff"

However if you check Gallup’s latest poll of small business owners it’s the most pessimistic they’ve been in years.

We are living in a nation of 307 million, the majority who are economically illiterate, and are low information voters. America is lost - anyone doubting this still?

This poll, and Rasmussen showing 56% of the country currently approves of the Marxist (for doing what, I’m not sure) demonstrates clearly that the tipping point has been reached. Regardless of what you think of him and his campaign, Romney never had a chance.

As long as the gov’t money keeps showing up, they’ll be “confident”.

It’s only going to change when the whole thing comes crashing down, then they’ll be bewildered and angry. And the people that caused the crash will direct that anger at us.

And the even more infuriating part is that he WANTS the crash to happen, and “they” refuse to believe it.

Madison Ave spends hundreds of millions developing advertising to affect the behavior of consumers. One of the devastating affects is to get someone to buy things they don’t need at prices they cannot afford. Even if consumers ratchet down from the extreme I written, the emotional need to spend for stuff is ingrained in the psyche. Spending is up but not after several years of self imposed (torture) austerity and finally the urge outdoes the frugal mindset. I had a buddy of mine whose wife hit the malls last Xmas and this Xmas. I thought he was financially better off but that was not the case. He is still holding two part time jobs and his wife has her full time job with no raises. Taxes and prices have gone up and they were frugal for the first three years after 2008. Instead of increasing their meager savings, once enough was available for buying his wife runs off to the mall and buys stuff. After Xmas they are back to the same old routine, huge credit card balances they will spend the first six months in 2013 paying off. Process will repeat itself as we approach the fall of 2013, shopping for more stuff. Sad part is their kids are approaching college age and little is saved for them, and I do not want to guess what they have saved for retirement.
