REPORT: Fox News Is Taking Karl Rove Off The Air (Over election night meltdown)
Business Insider ^ | 12/04/2012 | Grace Wyler

Posted on 12/04/2012 4:57:34 PM PST by SeekAndFind

Karl RoveNew York's Gabriel Sherman reports that Fox News is scaling back airtime for Republican pundit Karl Rove, in what appears to be a reprimand for Rove's meltdown during the network's live election broadcast.

Sources told Sherman that Fox News chief Roger Ailes has ordered his staff to bench Rove and his fellow GOP pundit Dick Morris, two of the network's most vocal partisan voices whose predictions turned out to be spectacularly wrong. According to Sherman, producers must now get permission before booking Rove or Morris on Fox shows.

The move comes as Fox takes steps to rehab its image in the wake of Republican defeats this November. Rove, in particular, has been widely mocked by members of both parties, both for his onscreen tantrum and for the abysmal performance of his American Crossroads super PAC.

I’ve never understood why Dick Morris was respected in the first place.

While I’m no Rove fan - it is understandable how people looked to him as an expert.

As far as election night?

I’ve got mixed feelings. If anyone SHOULDN’T be surprised by fraud -you would think it would be Rove.
Having worked in the trenches, you would think he’d be more aware of the those dangers.

As far as Rove having a meltdown?
Heck - whatever - I’ve been melting down since that night too.

It was a night of darkness and we will all pay dearly for many years to come.

RE: I’ve never understood why Dick Morris was respected in the first place.

He had a track record helping Clinton win several elections as early as when Bubba was running for governor.

Which is exactly what happened .
The Daley machine run by his brother oversaw the attempted voters theft in 2000 with gore and they learned from their mistakes !
They put the machine in place in 2004 and never dismantled it and sued in states to stop voter ID !

"Sean’s Happy Conservativism (”Be of good cheer”) as the nation is in the process of being destoyed, is sickening."

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who sees that. It drives me nuts when he sits there talking to Brent Bozell about the latest outrage, and laughing the whole time. "Oh, those rascally liberals, aren't they silly!"

Rove is the Marty Scottenheimer of politics. Overhyped and as likely to deliver a loss as a win at crucial moments with his Dem-clone nonsense.

You’re still blaming a SIXTEEN POINT LOSS on Rove?

He only dreams he was that powerful.

MAYBE a bad candidate like O’Donnell’s bad loss is the fault of the candidate. I realize that’s a completely insane, out there, crazy theory.

it was a Chicago style election which won it for them.

In my state , OH, VA, WI even the amount of fraud was enough for them to win.

No one could have predicted how much fraud there would be and yes you are right it will happen again unless this pathetic party gets out there and does something about it.

I was talking to a pal who served too up in VA nad he also said there was no way the military was split dead even in his state.

Hell look at PA, only 30 votes each precinct more would have won it for us there so it’s very easy for them with Holder, 4 years the DOJ to have robbed the election.

Anyway ut;s been well documentated on here off many others so i won;t go into all of it

OH I wouldn;t say piss oor GOP Ipd say more like cowardly elitist GOP, the likes of Peggy Noonan, Brit Hume, Charles Krauthammer, Cantor, Bohner and the rest care about their power and pockets .

Sarah, Newt, Col West, Mia Love etc are what should be leading us

It was never ‘exclusively’ Rove, although he’s pretty symbolic of why I gave up on the channel. It was right after the 2010 mid-terms, and FoxNews really changed course, veering leftward... they suddenly turned cool on the Tea Party topics, dropped the border/illegals issue, ditched Beck, less coverage of ideological dust-ups out in mid-America and endlessly more of beltway shenanigans and the political horseraces. It’s like FoxNews suddenly became more like what MSNBC is to Dems, in the way it transformed into a blatant propaganda arm of the D.C. GOP-Establishment. It wasn’t really quite like that before. I went from the point of switching channels whenever I saw Rove pop up, to just not even turning the channel on to begin with.

I’ll still occasionally catch the network from time to time, especially if I see a guest on I like, such as Sarah, Allen West, Malkin, Bila, DeMint or such. But gosh, I used to have the channel on all the time, like it was a default position for my tv-set. Now? Maybe a half-hour per week!

BUT, OBAMA’S GREAT FOR FOX’S RATINGS FOR THE NEXT FOUR YEARS, ISN’T IT...

Not here, I haven't watched FOX news for one second since election night. Also quit Hannity and Rush until/unless they go "Republican-e is less than worthless" full time.

Radio and network news are just liars rubbing our noses in their liberal filth. Not for me.

They had 4 years to prep for this election, hell they were finding bags of a thousand votes in a corner of a room here and denied the Col West.

Megyn Kelly , you’re right, she;s like the ditzy girl with no common sense who thinks we want to know about her nana, her house underwater in VA or about her husband.

I caught about 5 minutes of her today and she was asking about these new taxes and the shick on her face about being taxed on stocks , investments was laughable.
She looked stunned and I thought serves you right.

She used to be good with Hemmer in the morning but her show makes her look like that school girl

do you consider it likely that a few million fewer voters went out and voted GOP?

No, because Romney has about a million more votes right now than McCain did.

It didn’t take massive voter fraud in every state, just democrat/communist controlled cities in key states.

can;t stand them and never watch them but then again I hardly ever watch FOX now.

They can also replace the so called great American ARF Hannity and his liberal RINO pals.
He can never talk about social issues, what and how the homostapo are acting and forcing stores to close and how they have sex in public at their freak parades..

Get either Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham ETC.

They got rid of Beck , now I was not massive about him but he did inform us about the radical left, he caleld oabma’s henchmen and women out and he went after the commie black power turd. For what , a hosw caled the five with one idiot who thinks he is funny, another angry bitter, pro union all mouth tough guy Beckel, Hannitys pal, The elitist RINO who worked for Bush and nothing but legs for the other woman.
Only one guy is worth listening too but not enough for me to tune in.

Yeah I have to agree on those leaders wholeheartedly.

But yes, some fraud, I do not believe massive or even systematic fraud, but we’ll never know because no one in a postion of authority is going to investigate.

Frankly, I think the GOP lost because it ran against no one, stood for nothing, failed to mobilize or even inspire its base...the GOP lost because it sucks.

I do not believe that he stole it. I do believe that there was some fraud.

I believe the GOP lost its base, and now it’s alienating what was left of it and stomping it into the dirt, and it is going to lose big time hardcore again very soon.

great great post.
I’m here in FL and since 2000 the Dem counties now always wait till all the other counties report in , even the panhandle which is an hour later.

They have done it every election because they wait to see how many votes they need and then suddenly produce just enough votes to win.

I’m tired ot trying to explain to even a couple of freepers that fraud was the issue.

2000 was re-counts in Dem counties thus leaving our republican county out.
They then wanted another count in their 3 counties and ignore over the 60 counties which go republican.
they learned that they need to keep nags of votes on stand by and boy they did.

During the Col West count bag of over a 1,000 votes were found in a corner after the election.

I know that there is no way he won this election.
even today I see about 9 Romey stickers to 1 obama sticker.
Days go by and I never see an obama sticker and yet see on average 5 stickers for Romney depending where I am in my states.

People still have no where to live after Sandy and yet the GOP can;t even mention this, Libya has gone, fast and furious, death of a border agent, een now two more Mexicans have benecharged for murder for their act off the west coast and where is the GOP, F-IN NOWHERE.

We had facts, debt, spending, deaths, the list is endless and the GOP can;t mention obama for some reason, hell they can;t even mention social issues and the homostapo and the destruction of the family and those relying on handouts

Would not be surprised that FNC has finally heard enough from its Conservative base viewership...and Rove and Morris had to be pulled back.

I know a few Conservatives who let FNC and some its advertisers know that Rove (especially) goes...or they go

Rove is a CFR Free Trader Communist Globalist who is the biggest threat to the American conservative movement. Morris is a pervert who worked for Bill Clinton....engineered Bibi Netyanahu’s loss is the Israeli elections in his first tenure as PM. Morris is and was never a conservative

Rove and others seemed to believe the Gallup polls were correct.

I've explained the serious problems in those polls over the last year, but it's possible that neither Rove or Morris had been informed that they weren't just wrong, but there was an inherent and very damaging error in the way they were conducted that allowed a small group to bias the results to favor Romney.

Unbeknownst to most folks Gallup added a question about sexual orientation to every poll they conducted. What that did was attract the attention of homosexuals all over the country. Due to the fact that response rates were down to about 9% (out of all calls made), all homosexuals needed to do was maintain a 100% response rate and they'd end up being overrepresented about 1100%!

So, why would homosexuals favor Romney and not Obama? hmmm ~ pomade perhaps? gay marriage ~ a number of other things.

Karl can pull a Glenn Beck, and start his own competing network against FOX, and we might end up with a republican or conservative media network, instead of the “slightly to the right of center” FOX.

let's see the numbers;

..............Republican..........Democrat

2004.....62,040,610.........59,028,444

2008.....59,948,323.........69,498,516

2012.....60,710,020.........65,355,488

It's pretty obvious the Democrats are off 4 million in 2012 from their high in 2008, yet they are 6 million ahead of 2004.

The Republicans fell 2 million in 2008 from their high in 2004, and were only 1 million behind the 2004 result.

As soon as you account for population growth it all looks worse for everyone. At the same time there's no sign that any significant number of 'undecideds' were involved in any of this.
