10 Illinois Republican Senators join Senate Democrats, passing 41-14 Illegal Alien Drivers Licenses
Republican News Watch ^ | December 4, 2012 | DOUG IBENDAHL

A bill to allow undocumented immigrants to obtain an Illinois driver’s license passed the Illinois Senate today by a vote of 41 to 14. One Democrat voted “present.” The bill is SB957.

The 10 Republicans who joined the Democrats in rewarding non-citizens who are already breaking our laws, were: Bill Brady (Sponsor), Kirk Dillard, Tom Johnson, John Millner (Sponsor), Matt Murphy, Carole Pankau, Senate Minority Leader Christine Radogno (Sponsor), Sue Rezin, Ron Sandack (Sponsor), and Suzi Schmidt.

Two Republicans, Pamela Althoff and Dale Righter, took the ultimate lily-livered approach and just didn’t vote on the bill. That’s as bad as a “yes” vote.

Next time these 12 Republicans are up for reelection maybe they’ll be able to find some undocumented immigrants to volunteer on their campaigns. Hard to imagine any law abiding Republican would ever lift a finger for one of these goofs.

These lawmakers should also maybe call up former Democrat State Representative Derrick Smith and apologize. Smith was expelled from the Illinois House earlier this year after being indicted on federal charges. He has not yet gone to trial.

Sorry Derrick, if only you had originated from a different country and flagrantly violated a different federal law. Maybe instead of being disgraced, maybe your colleagues would hand you a reward too.

The bill now heads to the House where it has the strong support of House Minority “Leader” Tom Cross.

This is going to be the norm. They’ve given up and will do as the socialists tell them. They want votes and continued power. Illegals are thier future.

I’m done trying to fight back. I say we let the dam break and swim our way back to liberty’s shores.

Every fight we wage against this winds up as an incremental, almost miniscule change to our way of life. We hem and haw about something, they pare it back but keep the most nefarious aspects of it and pass it as law. They’ve become experts at it. They propose ideas so full of fluff knowing that it will ruffle many feathers. They pare back a majority of the visibly negative parts, leaving what appears to be a “fair” piece of legislation, pass it and then repeat it all again until everything in the original piece of legislation is enacted.

Death by 1,000 cuts.

Let them slit their own throats, bleed out, and we can try to pick up the pieces after the fall.

Words escape me on this issue. In a normal and just world, would anyone believe our lawmakers would enact legislation to provide anything to the invaders of our Country? Are our politicians corrupt to the core or are they functioning illiterates? How is this legislation not a complete violation of their oath of office?

Not Chicago's Matt "Guitar" Murphy?!?

Aretha was right, he *is* a dang fool who doesn't seem to think about the consequences of his actions.

There was a phrase in French that just a few generations ago, at the end of World War Two, was the absolute worst insult that one could hurl upon another.

The Republican Party, the MSM, and all those who voted for the Odinga Regime, have earned that phrase again:

"Vous êtes un collaborateur!"

Ditto. There are way too many powerful forces at work on a variety of fronts to fight effectively. This nation will not survive as is.

People are ‘selling out’ all over the place for ‘political’ gain... and the ‘currency’ in capital right now are ‘non US citizens’ and those who hate our founding principles. Our pot is being diluted by traitors and foreigners combined..... to overtake and control us.

Getting the votes and the I.D.’s, especially in Florida where one must present an i.d. to vote. Nauseating.

If we allow the system to collapse on itself, we can pick up the pieces after everything’s in shambles. The Left relies on us to fight back, in a way, to provide a straw man. If we remove ourselves from the issues, it becomes a two-legged barstool that will collapse. Let them enact what they way under the guise of fairness, equality, whatever. The cities will fall first, I think we all agree on that.

I find it hilarious that a number on Free Republic are wanting to give up the fight when they’ve never lifted a finger for it in the first place.

Or maybe they’re just provocateuring for the Democrats, or possibly the third-party Ron Paulshiveks.

It’s time to man the barricades and instead they’re crawling in holes everywhere. The conservatives and Tea folk need to wield the ultimate GOP death sentence across the land Jan 2d. Don’t vote for them for Speaker, Pro Tem, Leader whatever the position is in every legislature there is. Kill the GOP in 4 weeks and let us just start all over. They’re totally useless as they now are.

Illegal immigrants are allowed driving licenses?????

That is so insande it beggars belief.

Why are they not being thrown back to where they came from?

Why can’t a nation with a military budget and size of the US end this once and for all by securing its borders? The economic cost, would surely be massively outweighed by the economic benefits of the influx of jobs (lets face it, most immigrants aren’t lazy bums), reduced criminal activity, and drain on public services?

It is pretty much too late.

I’ve already accepted my own countries fate, we have all been sold out by so many for so long. It is tragic.

I completely agree. While increasing numbers of Americans scrap loyalty to country in favor of grabbing a piece of the pie for themselves, the politicians who ostensibly "represent" them are in the process of jumping straight into pander mode. For both, it's all for the short term, because the future doesn't hold promise for America.

Our pot is being diluted by traitors and foreigners combined..... to overtake and control us.

Very successfully, too. We are not a nation anymore. If it could be equated to an airplane in flight, America is now comprised of 50 loosely connected and disintegrating parts flying in close formation. This is not going to end well.

Senators Matt Murphy and Kirk Dillard can run for re-election in 2014. I hope that they’ll lose their primaries to conservatives.

"Let them slit their own throats, bleed out, and we can try to pick up the pieces after the fall."

I am afraid that I am coming around to this view, also. We are fighting on a thousand fronts. Young people, the up and coming voters, favor Obama heavily. We talk about changing the MSM and the education system, but that is a multigenerational effort and there is no sign of even a change in direction. Perhaps is is apocalyptic, but maybe we should take the whole rotten edifice down. Let the fiscal cliff happen and don't extend the debt limit, either. Let's see if we can rebuild after the real collapse.
