I’m done trying to fight back. I say we let the dam break and swim our way back to liberty’s shores.
Every fight we wage against this winds up as an incremental, almost miniscule change to our way of life. We hem and haw about something, they pare it back but keep the most nefarious aspects of it and pass it as law. They’ve become experts at it. They propose ideas so full of fluff knowing that it will ruffle many feathers. They pare back a majority of the visibly negative parts, leaving what appears to be a “fair” piece of legislation, pass it and then repeat it all again until everything in the original piece of legislation is enacted.
Death by 1,000 cuts.
Let them slit their own throats, bleed out, and we can try to pick up the pieces after the fall.
I agree. I like your famous tag line as well.
Ditto. There are way too many powerful forces at work on a variety of fronts to fight effectively. This nation will not survive as is.
I am afraid that I am coming around to this view, also. We are fighting on a thousand fronts. Young people, the up and coming voters, favor Obama heavily. We talk about changing the MSM and the education system, but that is a multigenerational effort and there is no sign of even a change in direction. Perhaps is is apocalyptic, but maybe we should take the whole rotten edifice down. Let the fiscal cliff happen and don't extend the debt limit, either. Let's see if we can rebuild after the real collapse.
