A federal appeals court on Wednesday questioned not only President Obama’s controversial January recess appointments but the entire system of such appointments, using oral arguments in a case to cast doubt on whether presidential powers can ever be exercised unless Congress has adjourned for good.

Stage theater.
They have to appear ‘tough’ so that when they finally bend over and grab their ankles they can claim that they ‘tried’.

wow.... this is big.

I hope the courts stop this and I don’t care that it could be used by our side in the furture. This is an abuse of power no matter which side does it.

We have a system of checks and balances for a reason, this is clearly an abuse of power by the executive branch.

Don’t start popping the champagne bottles, yet. Presuming that this ourt hands down a verdict that supports the Reoublicans’ position, the case will probably wind up in the SCOTUS where CJ Roberts will, undoubtedly, rule that recess appointments equate to a stupidity tax on the minority party.

And, that, my FRiends, will be the end of that!

The Republicans aren’t “fighting” FOR anything, they are just engaging in political theater to try to blunt the criticisms of the spineless, cowardice of the Republican Party!!
