WHY do they CARE????
The “awards” are meaningless CRAPPOLA.
I’m disappointed that they CARE about an empty “award”.
The disgusting treatment Of Elia Kazan (when he was to receive his lifetime achievement “award”) made me want to smack all the audience members who REFUSED to applaud his artistic talent.
I’ll never forget seeing Nick Nolte crossing his arms when Kazan came on stage. IDIOT!
Kazan was being punished for not towing the communist line...
It’s obvious that the “awards” are NOT given for talent or skill, so, they are WORTHLESS to artists!
What, Follywood Biased? Oh, no!!
I don’t get the impression that they “care”.
I think they just have no inhibitions about pointing out the fraudulent nature of the awards and the degenerate mindset of those who put them on. IMO, what they are expressing is honest disgust.
What’s new? Nothing to see here.
Thanks for the added info....I was being snarky again a little....
I didn’t know Nolte had a long running career in crime, as well!!!
(I prefer the Hawaiian shirt one, myself!!!!)
Thanks for the laugh!
The way I understand the process, first the Oscars determine eligibility, then a nominating committee will choose who is to be nominated or put on the ballot, then there is a vote for the award.
Deeming the movie 2016 to be “ineligible” means it is not eligible for consideration to be nominated.
This is as low as you can go.
Not winning is one thing, not getting nominated is another, but being deemed “ineligible” to even be considered for nomination is really bad.
The Oscars are a marketing and political ploy, nothing more. I haven’t watched for more years than I can remember.
