Confess that I “speed-listened” to yesterday’s broadcast (stopping at end and beginning of each break)-— simply because I couldn’t bear to listen to fiscal cliff & and Belcher aftermath discussions.
From what I heard yesterday, I have the same impression as your analysis.
Listening now to every word of today’s program. Appears to me Plante is fully engaged with all cylinders firing.
Especially brilliant, IMO, is his dialogue and conversations starting after hour 1 (on podcast) on gun laws and Dummers who blame the guns. Wash DC vs Chicago vs national murder statistics are nearly irrefutable. He dissects the Dummer arguments with a razor.
No explanation to date from Plante on his absence. I am curious but more than eager to respect his right of privacy (such as we have these days).
He seems well today and back on his game...and that’s a good thing.

I HATED that run. It’s a 660 yard run and it was horrible because no kid is in condition for it. Good for him.

here is my track story.....I was my school’s miler...my junior year I won district, regional and went to state in Austin....track doesn’t care the size of schools...just posted times......well.............
my 1st quarter was 58.1....I saw the coach hold up that number and dammit...ain’t gonna have any gas to finish....
kept runnin and got that “runner’s high’ and let er rip
... here is the kick in the nuts part......
I ran 4:16............16 seconds short of breakin the 4 minute mile !!!!!!!!!
came in 4th.....did not even get a ribbon
I’d have to agree about CP, yesterday vs today, with you & Clint. He’s a full V8 today, compared to yesterday’s in-line 6. He was running on 86oct unleaded yesterday; today he’s on 160oct av-gas.

Back in the day I was happy if I broke 8 minutes in the mile. Asthma back then was called “you don’t try hard enough”. The reason I was successful in wrestling in high school and college was because I learned to pin to get the match over with because I hated going all three periods.
