Sources tell CNN the United States is huddling with allies on what a chemical attack by Syria's Bashar al Assad would look like and there are reports that Assad maybe looking for asylum in Latin America.

And just because the Israeli’s destroyed a nuclear reactor in Syria, does not mean they still want to possess WMD. This is completely different then Iraq.
He will do it—I feel it in my bones. Saddam’s revenge. He will used them to keep back an invasion and to decimate the rebels. He may well send rockets into Israel just to start a war—and gain Egyptian Help. The Rebels hate Israel worse than Assad—and would join him in his Jihad against them! Hezballa, Hamas, Egypt, Iran would get into it too! He could blame Israel for arming the rebels—If US gets involved—gas the US ships too! Terrorists could hit bases in the gulf and Europe. WW III hits on December 21st!

Assad will not attack Israel, because if he did,
Assad and his family would
be attacked personally.
I heard some politi-critter today saying we would have to put U.S. boots on the ground if Assad used chem weapons. 0bozo has been softening the ground of public opinion here for this.
The use of chemicals would create harsher division between Sunni and Shia Muslims.
Assad being Shia minority, fighting against the Sunni majority there.
That could help us get better commitments in the region against Iran.
But, Evil Obama is President, so never mind.
I just had a worst-case scenario vision: Assad arranges to be evacuated to some haven in Latin America (probably Venezuela), and then uses his chemical arsenal to devastate Syria.
I fear your bones may be right. Meanwhile here is another view of the problem. Reading it, my conclusion is the most useful thing that could be done is to clear the skies of airplanes, except for the problem of how Russia would react.
hussein is accomplishing 2 goals here:
1. mollifying his base.To the radical progressives the only "just war" for the US to be involved in is one in which we have no national interest or it will harm our interests.
2. Pleasing his saudi (sunni) masters. Both Israel and iran, including their hashemite puppet syria must be destroyed for the sunni caliphate to rule.
Syria has been full of WMD’s for many years. That you don’t see them simply means you’re not paying attention, and haven’t been.
There’s WMD’s in Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Gaza, Egypt and anywhere with an islamic regime. Even the “moderates” like Kuwait.
