Could First Lady Michelle Obama go the route of Hillary Clinton?
It’s only hypothetical this point, but a survey done by Public Policy Polling gives Mrs. Obama the lead over Sen. Mark Kirk 51 to 40 percent, should she choose to challenge Kirk in 2016 for an Illinois senate seat. From PPP.
If Michelle Obama decided she wanted to follow the Hillary Clinton route once her husband leaves office in 2016 and go to the Senate, she'd have the upper hand on Mark Kirk. She leads him 51/40 in a hypothetical head to head. Kirk's approval numbers are ok with 34% of voters approving of him to 19% who disapprove. But those numbers are no match for the first lady, who's seen positively by 60% of voters to 33% with a negative one.

Maybe Obama will give Durbin a cabinet position to free up his Senate seat for Michelle, so she can run for President in 2016.

I tend to doubt this will happen. Hussein’s ego is just too big to let his “woman” get into the limelight like that. Michelle has been fairly low profile and has stuck to fairly non-political tasks, unlike Hillary.

I read a couple of months ago that there was talk of having Michelle as the next Dem candidate for President since Obama won’t be able to run again (unless he simply does anyway!) and he has effectively prevented any new material from developing in the Dem party.
This is all part of a plan, and this is the “testing the waters” moment. I’m sure if she runs, she’ll win, and then she’ll be lined up to be the next Dem presidential candidate.
Affirmative action works in the Senate too.

From the time Obama won the last election, I felt that she saw herself as president after her husband’s term is over. This is not a joke. Samuel Jackson has already mentioned that she could be a Supreme Court Justice or president. He is serious and she thinks it’s already hers.
Not hard to imagine the First Lady landing in the Senate. Doubtful, however, she’d have a successful POTUS bid.
Michelle Obama might not be any worse than the next Democrat contender, but the familiarity fatigue is discouraging enough. Same goes for the Bush, Clinton, and Kennedy families.

Said this before, it;s high time for all conservatives to move out of the liberal states like IL, MA, CA, and move to states like FL, VA, NC, CO, NM and make those states solid republican and have your votes be counted and not ignored .
Those states where these Detroit council woman, MA, CA are all lose so why give them your tax money, get out of there and move to a state which needs your vote .

I believe every poll they put out now. After 2012 and we laughed at the polls, I believe they are true. She would win in Illinois EASILY. That is how dumb our country has gotten. I would not dismiss polls so easily if I were you.
Why the senate, why not the #1 position. The way this country is now, she’d win the Presidency too. Hillary would be really pissed over that.
