THE nurse who took a prank call from two Australian DJs asking about the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge has been found dead this morning.
Tragic Jacintha Saldanha, 46, is believed to have committed suicide as police are not treating the death as suspicious.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were said to be “deeply saddened" by the death of Jacintha, described by the hospital as an "excellent nurse" who was "well respected and popular" with colleagues.
DJs Mel Greig and Michael Christian made the prank call from Down Under, impersonating Prince Charles and the Queen to get information about Kate's condition.
The duo — whose station is notorious for courting controversy — were amazed when their dodgy uppercrust British accents got them put through to Kate's ward.

Suicide over something like this is a bit drastic and dramatic. Must be a cultural thing, I guess.
I place the blame squarely on those two jerks who pulled this stunt. You take your victim/plaintif/sucker as you find them. Her reaction in no way diminishes their personal misconduct.
They’re “very sorry.” Sorry, it doesn’t sound like it to me, from what they said. They should be sorry, for the rest of their misbegotten lives.

I dont think this outcome was predictable in any way. People dont commit suicide because of prank calls.
Because if they did there would be no one left named “Mike Hunt”
im not following this...why did she kill herself again? ive read the story, two dj’s pretended to be the queen and charles, etc....and she spoke with them about 15 mins....what was the reason she offed herself ?
In today’s world of over-sensitivity in privacy matters, she probably got a severe butt chewing over the embarrassment it caused the hospital. The DJ’s should have foreseen that it would have endangered the nurse’s employment. But they probably could care less. It marred her professional record. I wonder how funny the DJ’s find it now?

You can’t blame the DJs. It is not remotely normal or predictable for somebody to commit suicide over a prank call. Its possible that she was facing demotion/punishment for being careless with regards to the “royalty,” but how could the DJs have imagined this happening.

I think its pretty obvious that she was murdered by the Queen.

These shock jocks are screwed in civil OR criminal law. Foreseeability of a special weakness is no excuse.
I'm sure Kate and William are devastated.
I think she was killed because she saw the x-rays and sonigrams of the Baby. She saw two fetus, one a doberman pincer and the other a small boy with 666 on it’s head.
Everyone and their royal-worshipping mother knew she was in that hospital and what she was there for.
The fuss over this prank call was beyond ridiculous.

By that logic if someone were to (God forbid) kill themselves immediately after reading this post I could be brought up on charges.
Good luck convincing a jury that she killed herself because of the call and not some other cause.

Two idiots decided to have sex in St Patrick's in NYC.
They were caught, and the day that the guy was to be sentenced, he died.
No parole from the sentence he got.
