Boycott the U.S. military
WND ^ | December 06, 2012 | Joseph Farah

Exclusive: Joseph Farah urges family, friends not to serve for 'corrupt and dangerous' boss

This may sound like a strange idea coming from someone who loves and respects the U.S. military.

It’s time to deny it our sons and daughters and our grandchildren. For those young enough to serve, it’s time to deny it yourselves. It’s time to boycott the U.S. military.

What am I talking about? Have I completely flipped my lid? Who will protect the nation from foreign enemies in these turbulent times without manpower?

Let me begin with something that put me over the edge: When foreign-serving U.S. military personnel were systematically denied by the Barack Obama administration the right to vote in the 2012 presidential election, I decided I would never encourage any son, daughter or friend of mine to enlist voluntarily in the U.S. military again – at least during the next four years.

That was a disgusting, self-serving and deliberate political act by a White House hell-bent to maintain power by hook or by crook. And it denied those risking their lives for their country the sacrosanct right to participate in our electoral system.

That was it for me.

And I don’t just blame Obama. I blame every general or admiral who carried out those orders.

But there’s much more to this idea of a military boycott than just that national disgrace.

The man who made that political calculation is commander in chief of the U.S. military. It’s not that I don’t trust his judgment. It’s that I do. I trust him to make the wrong decision about the use of the military in every situation that arises.

But but.. This is EXACTLY what 0bama wants; Driving down enlistments and letting the ‘blue helmets’ take over our military. I agree that 0bama is a traitor and cannot be trusted. Benghazi comes to mind.

If you think about it, encouraging like-minded people to boycott the military is exactly the *wrong* thing to do if you have grave concerns over where the country is heading.

my son will not join which is odd coming from two generations of Marines. I'm glad. He'd end up in the brig because of the f'd up ROE, watching men play with each other and getting cut loose in a firefight against muzzies. F'em all.

I'm in a small town so when the muzzies come a knocking I hope the liberal reap what they sow.

The marines are set up for failure and even in their commercials show "humanitarian aid" on boxes in there choppers.. bahahahahahahahaha. pathetic. the armed forces is going to be corrupted and made into a large social program. notice all the women failing to deploy and now "disabled", the surge of psychiatric conditions that get guys to file for disabilities, and getting men to NOT GO TO COLLEGE FOR good degrees but to learn bs. I pray for the guys that are in and a lot of them are my friends, but it's going to get nasty with this pathetic group of pointy headed liberals we have in charge.

I look at the horizon and I see war........ pray for our country and families.

Point well taken.

Of course the military is about the only game in town for many young men and women trying to find a steady job.

Too many of them are ill prepared to understand what Obama is doing to the country.

Yeah, that might be true - but think of what a military made up of Holder's people (corrupt fast and furious types), gay liberal elites, and white generals on the take - people only committed to themselves - might look like...

They would have no problem defending THEIR power - but I'm not so sure how much they'd care about defending our constitution or country...

That's the nightmare.

The US military should boycott its Commander-in-Chief.

Look at what Holder and crew have accomplished in full view of the media, politicians & the American people.

Holder and Obama's politicized military will be leading from behind. There leadership philosophy is "do as I say, not as I do" and "yours is not to question why, yours is but to do or die."

No more blood should be wasted for/by the American Caesar.

I regret the years that I served and I only had to deal with Bush 1 and then BJ Clinton. I could not imagine serving now.

My regret is that while I sacrificed a decade of my life in various roles (Regular Army, then USAR) to protect my fellow Americans’ liberties, they willfully and gleefully surrendered it themselves. My heart is truly broken.

It does seem that all forces are joining to keep Christians, observant Jews, conservatives, straight people, and people from nuclear families OUT of the military.

To what end, I don’t know.

But I have not recommended my sons. I don’t want them to go help build a Muslim nation anywhere.

No detraction to those currently serving. I believe that much of what they do is serving the nation. However, our nation is headed the wrong way.

It is likely that with Rat election fraud and Useful Idiots, the Marxist Rat Muslim cabal will control the vote for the foreseeable future.

With that control they will control the entire government, courts, AND THE LAW.

This means that patriotic military will be in legal mutiny and insurrection for any resistive action they take from the inside.

The only hope they would have would be a Media that would portray them as patriotic heroes removing a tyrannical criminal regime. Do we have that Media?

Sadly, historically. every national military has turned on it's most valuable citizens when commanded by the socialist/Islamic dictator in power after the usurpation, always to the surprise of the citizens.

Observing history, where do you want to be, when the orders come.

Ditto. I left the Navy when Clinton was elected, partially becuase I didn’t want to serve under him. You commit to follow the orders of the Commander in Chief. I could never serve under Obama, the marxist in chief.

My family serves the Republic and the Constitution. It has always been so. My son serves now, following in the footsteps of his father, his grandfather, his great grandfathers and so on back to the beginning. America needs her best and brightest, now more than ever. All patriots, military and civilian must insure that the Dream continues. Poor leadership is no reason to abandon the Republic now.

I hear your pain, brother. I only served 6 years in the Navy, but I too am saddened by the fact that America has choosen socialism over freedom. After the re-election of Obama I retired all of my American flags and respectfully burned them. If socialism is what America wants then I am no longer proud to be an American.

I told my Mom what I had done and why, and (God bless her heart) she didn’t get it. While she is patriotic and has always tried to do the best for my family, she has been brain washed into thinking that Obama was the best choice. I tried telling her that one of the reasons I joined was to defend America AGAINST socialism, but I don’t think she really understands what is going on. I still love her of course, but it’s sad to see good people being fooled.

One more thing, I have one son in the Army right now, but I too, have told my other son not to join the military. The problem isn’t with the grunt level, the problem is with the command level. The good officers get out after one hitch and the majority of what’s left are uniformed “yes” men. I once thought wished the Joint Chiefs would stage a military coup, but with all the lame brains at the higher levels that might be worse then what we have now.

At the end of the day, America as the land of the free is circling the drain. She was a good and noble experiment, but in the end all things run by falible men will fail. Man’s best salvation and leadership is though God and I believe Jesus is simply showing mankind that we have tried all forms of government, but they all fail. It’s sad to be a witness to Americas failing, but in the end, it is inevitible.

I respect your decision. I am just concerned about the ROE, the confused and sometimes just plain wrong missions, the women in combat stuff, and the new homosexual power structure. I don’t want our lives submitted to that.

ROE are never perfect; missions are sometimes confused or misguided, even in the best of times. But the homosexualization was the tipping point, at least for me.

If any of my sons want to serve, I’d share my concerns, but support them if they decided to serve. I also greatly respect those faithfully serving in the military under such currently bad conditions.

“After the re-election of Obama I retired all of my American flags and respectfully burned them.”

I removed mine as well. I have them safely stored away with a small hope that we can fly the symbol of freedom again some day. I’m doubtful.

Amen to the rest of your post.

I got flamed when, a few months ago, I posted that anyone who made their living by getting a government check should be denied the privilege of voting (no representation without taxation). The biggest objection was from military supporters who questioned my patriotism.

Are their any doubts left as to how are military will vote 10 years hence? Combine the votes of the SS dependent, military, government employees nd those retired from governments at all levelsat, welfare reciepeints, a, government enabled businesses (ethanol, GM, sugar industry, etc.) and the rest of us are screwed.

I am not saying all those people are libs but if you depend on a government check then you will probably vote to preserve or expand government.

“My son serves now...”

Make sure he knows not to fire on American citizens. That won’t be well received.

I'm not sure what we're 'defending' any more? A free country? Not with voter fraud. A free press? They've been acting like a State run press for years... Protected national borders? Yeah, right. Freedom of religion? When we're not allowed to put up Christmas trees in a town squares? Let's save the money - corrupt generals will have to get their graft and kickbacks from someone other than UN dictators and nuts in the Middle East...
