Before Psy became an international singing sensation with his infectious hit Gangnam Style, the Korean rapper sang about slowly and painfully killing American soldiers.
Psy, who recently earned the title of most-watched YouTube video of all time, protested the presence of 3,700 US troops in Korea during a 2002 concert, according to a Mediaite report.

Some of the "Dear American" lyrics he rapped: "Kill those [bleep]ing Yankees who have been torturing Iraqi captives / Kill those [bleep]ing Yankees who ordered them to torture / Kill their daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law and fathers / Kill them all slowly and painfully."

My Grandfather fought in Korea in the BCFK (British Commonwealth Forces Korea) so your ungrateful country wouldn't be living like your countrymen up North.
If you don't like it please go visit your Twin in Pyongyang.
Oh and Ubama, I know you are Friends with Billy Ayers, who looks on at even at the Norks. So the only satisfaction I take is the cringing horror you will face when you stand before G-d and he judges you for your beliefs in Murderous Marxism.
Isn’t he going to be in Hawaii all month?
why am I not surprised.. Give him American movie roles, since he certainly qualifies now... right along side Ice T and Queen Latifa..
interesting how these types shut up about “power”, “the man” “corruption”, once they become “the man” with their big bank accounts and employees..
I am so sick of these people.
“Kill those [bleep]ing Muslima who have been terrorizing the world / Kill those [bleep]ing Muslims who torture Americans / Kill their daughters, mothers, daughters-in-law and fathers / Kill them all slowly and painfully.”

As a proud South Korean who was educated in the United States and lived there for a very significant part of my life, I understand the sacrifices American servicemen and women have made to protect freedom and democracy in my country and around the world.
The song I featured on in question from eight years ago was part of a deeply emotional reaction to the war in Iraq and the killing of two Korean schoolgirls that was part of the overall antiwar sentiment shared by others around the world at that time.
While Im grateful for the freedom to express one's self, Ive learned there are limits to what language is appropriate and Im deeply sorry for how these lyrics could be interpreted. I will forever be sorry for any pain I have caused by those words.
I have been honored to perform in front of American soldiers in recent months including an appearance on the Jay Leno show specifically for them- and I hope they and all Americans can accept my apology.
While its important that we express our opinions, I deeply regret the inflammatory and inappropriate language I used to do so. In my music, I try to give people a release, a reason to smile.
I have learned that thru music, our universal language we can all come together as a culture of humanity and I hope that you will accept my apology."
Speaking for myself only, I accept his apology. That was certainly a trying time and I can understand his anger at the deaths of the Korean schoolgirls in a war that really didn't involve his country......
And for what it's worth, that was the most succinct and heart felt apology I've ever read by anyone who has ever criticized this country. I commend him for doing so........
Well, I don’t accept it. I’m sick and tired of hot-heads blapping off without thinking. “Everybody was mad about Iraq.”??? Naw, he made a bundle and now he wants to come hang with the Marxist Thug. Not on MY dime.
You only have to scan the archives to find FReepers who once supported Bush and the war that turned on him ........
And nobody's asking for your dime so get a life...........
Charming ..
