(CNSNews.com) - Seventy-three percent of the new civilian jobs created in the United States over the last five months are in government, according to official data published by the Bureau of Labor Statistics.
In June, a total of 142,415,000 people were employed in the U.S, according to the BLS, including 19,938,000 who were employed by federal, state and local governments.
By November, according to data BLS released today, the total number of people employed had climbed to 143,262,000, an overall increase of 847,000 in the six months since June.
In the same five-month period since June, the number of people employed by government increased by 621,000 to 20,559,000. These 621,000 new government jobs created in the last five months equal 73.3 percent of the 847,000 new jobs created overall.
Government jobs are a drain on our tax money.
Socialism is making everybody a Government employee. We are heading that way.
When Øcare comes in, there will be a quantum leap of effectively millions of new govt workers at one fell swoop. 16% of the economy.
Only 27% left to go, then, to achieve 0bama’s goal.
Nothing but the State, nothing outside the State, everything for the State, nothing against the State.
AND in twenty years nobody will remember reality.... like in England...
Sort of like the US has forgotten that we squandered the momentum in 94 by nominating Dole in 96
Repeated the same by squandering the TEA Party momentum of 2010 by nominating Romney
Keynesian Kenyan obamanomics at work
"The State is Me"... Obama. I can't spell the French version but the meaning is the same.
What happens to parasites after they kill the host?
I fixed it for you!
Gov’t jobs produce nothing, there is no return on investment, yet we are all forced, to pay for no production, with taxes.
The exception being our military, the return on investment is priceless.

Obama owns the military......
If you go to the article they link the BLS data they pulled for this article...
As I suspected, the numbers are a little cooked due to the time frame picked...
Take a 11 month time YTD 2012 frame and “government” lost 24K jobs while employment went up 1624K jobs...
The point they seem to be making without actually saying it...is the run up to the election was mostly government jobs...
Wait until the fiscal cliff dive then those jobs will not be worth a damn.
I was a bit surprised a few years ago when we never went with a moratorium on civilian hires for the DoD - Obama is the first pResident where this didn’t happen as economic issues came up.
